Sinister: Hefner aren't Scottish...

One thing I've never quite figured out about elections. How is it possibly
apathetic to not vote for someone whose policies you detest? If it happens
that there's noone worth voting for, it would be idiotic to vote for one of
them, wouldn't it? You're making a far bigger statement by saying that 50%
of the people eligible to vote hate every single one of the candidates. When
politicians say they hate it when so many people fail to vote, what they
really mean is that they hate it when so many people fail to vote for
them...

Not bad going, I've only been back on the list for 2 posts and I've probably
rubbed half the listees up the wrong way already...

Jenow, if people keep throwing things at you, it's time to start fighting
back. You could start by hiring a certain well-known ex-boxer for the day.
He'll do them over for you, and then he could sing you a celebratory song.
He's even got his own transport.

Personally if I'm upset about something, playing B&S won't stop me crying.
If I need cheering up, I put a bit of Diana Ross & The Supremes on. It has
been scientifically proven by the top boffins at NASA (*) that it is
physically impossible to listen to "The Happening" without smiling. That
song would bring Leonard Cohen out in a grin.

They're turning the Christmas lights on in Nottingham on Wednesday. Now
that's depressing...

Big Stu

(*) Possibly.
