Sinister: The End Of The World As We Know It

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls,

So this is it, give or take a couple of lines: In less than 30 hours, I’ll 
be winging my way to a ski-resort in France until May, so I’m unsubbing for 
the time being.

This goes out to Nick Drake, Stuart David and Erica McArthur, wherever you 
may all be today. A few thank yous before we go.

To all the doubters and critics too numerous to mention; thank you.

To all the people past and present who have touched my life on Sinister: 
Nessa ‘don’t call me Bugsy’ Malone, Elenita99, Derek, Splash, JenOwl, Jo 
Reynolds, F-B, Kaytee, Jules Markham, Ken PY Chu, G from York; thank you.

To all the people who have kept this list on it feet in recent memory, doing 
whatever it is you do; thank you.

To Thom Yorke, Stuart David, Steven Wells, Hefner, The Gentle Waves and 
countless others for providing so much writing inspiration, I salute you; 
thank you.

To someone who has been here as often as me more or less: you can count the 
digests he’s missed on the fingers of one stump, a friend to the victims, a 
friend to me, and hey, a friend to you, Honey; thank you.

Oh what the hell, there’s no show without Punch. Raise your glasses, Belle & 
Sebastian; thank you.

And finally, thanks to everyone of you for all the banter which I didn’t 
quite understand, for reading my posts occasionally and for being into it. 
Nice one. Keep this going, because I’ll be back in May to wreak havoc once 
more. Unless of course you can’t be arsed with it, which is fair enough, in 
which case I’ll say goodbye now. I’ll see you around, space cadets.

Ten months and fourteen posts, I think I got away with it. I was on 
Sinister, now I’m not. It was fab. I know, cos I was there.
