Sinister: it's cold and it's raining and it's nearly Christmas to boot

Hello!

Well, it's really got cold and cruddy now, even in London. And smoggy too
- you can tell when it's starting to get dark, and the sky goes really
murky. Well, it does here, anyway.

Christmas isn't going to go away.

And she's right, I think. I completely agree with what she said about
Christmas in general. It seems to get more miserable each year. I guess it
just doesn't feel so special as you get older. Although that's the sort of
thing your mum and dad always say. Makes me feel old myself. I think it's
safe to say that I too am dreading Christmas.

I guess there should be some B&S content, so I think it's best to say that
I've been having a right good listen of late, just to odd songs, rather
than whole albums' worth of stuff. Strangely, they kind of cheer me up in
a reassuring sort of way. In the same way that reading Richard Brautigan's
short stories does.

On some other musical content, I bought the new Fall album the other day,
and I love it. I realise most people here will not exactly believe me on
that (I don't think I've ever met a Fall fan except at a Fall gig), but
really, it's true! They're really back on form. Ahem. Anyway, if anyone's
going to see them at Dingwalls in Camden tomorrow, I'd like to meet you.
Then there's the Hefner gig on Thursday - they seem to be rather more
popular.

Ho hum. Well, I don't think there's much more to say, except that I hope
everyone's all okay.

Er, so that's it. Sorry if that bored anyone.

Marc.
