and of course to add to all those out of the nursery.. i will continue.

i had made up my mind a few days ago that i would continue to be a lurker
for awhile until i had something exciting or mind-boggling to say.
obviously i realized it may take a lot longer than i thought..

to continue. first on repling to phil r's content regarding the scholing
in america these days. the perspective you took, phil, is understanding.
although #1 i don't think it is a result of americana, or has anything to
do with the states. my contention is that home schooling would be the best
if what you could offer children was limitless. if you were educated
enough (well rounded) and even open minded enough. because obviously the
whole idea of pressing your views on a child is still a factor to
consider. gee, even in just raising them let alone schooling them to. you
see it everywhere, parents thinking their children are insane for having
different views on things other than their own.
my 6 out of 9 cousins (in one family) were home schooled. their parents
are educated only to high school and have very strict reglious beliefs.
now i am not saying that this is bad in any means but those children, i
think missed out on a lot of things because of this. #1 the close minds of
my uncle and aunt, and #2 the lack of education, and life experiences, and
#3 the simple daily interaction of people their own age. i personally
think it is important.

and to add.. to derek s's

run lola run: great flick. and as funny as it is i don't own it. you see i
only have a vcr, no reg tv. so in my collection which i have gone through
about 4 or 5 times now this school year, there is no run lola run. thank
you and i'll try to add it to the collection. and please do tell us if you
find any other interesting tit-bits in it!

something i noticed about a film.... a pretty "classic american film"..
GREASE.. i went garage saling this past summer and found GREASE trading
cards. they wer four american dollars. so i bought them. ant there is one
of the part where danny is running the track and sandy is standing near
her football boyfriend (chizelhead) and on the trading card she has on
sunglasses, on a red string around her neck. in the movie there are not
sunglasses. i've looked very close. i just thought this was interesting.

michelle
thanks for noticing me!:)
