tis a sad day for Julia Butterfly. her beloved tree had been vandalized,
cut two thirds of the way through the trunk of the poor tree. if no one
knows who Julia Butterfly is, shes the lady who lived two years in a red
wood to help stop logging and deforestation of the giant red wood
forests. to be so dedicated to something. just to see it destroyed right
before your very eyes. tis a sad day indeed.
ahh. to be on the road and working again. the start of the week is the
worst and the best. the start of work. we drive. countless hours. winter
landscapes pass by through a sheet of glass at 70 miles per hour. through
dark forests. barren naked trees. until the ocean dark creeps up to the
right. casino lights reflect of her moody face. shadows and head lights
drive along side and pass the other. so of course i put on some music to
go with the scenery. "dont leave the light on baby......"
