"I'll stop being sad now"

I can be sadder though.  Battle of the Planets was a
heavily sanitised version of the Japanese original
(called "Ninja Science Team Gatchaman" or something). 
The American production company removed large amounts
of violence and swearing to make it acceptable for
western audiences and added the 7 Zark 7 footage to
fill in the gaps and explain that the massive body
count at the end of each episode was "actually
robots", kids.
