well, hmmmmmm, interesting use of belle and seb mailing list - to rant
uneducatedly and offensively about israel.

i'n sorry, mr. david, but your views are utterly disgraceful and that's a
personal opinion just like yours, but i think i won't be upsetting anyone
with that stance, like you have just upset me and many others, i would
think.

listen - i am jewish and quite far from being a fervent zionist. BUT,
there is are at least 6 million massive reasons for the state to exist and
to say that you wish for israel to be flattened is a personal insult to
every single racial minority, not just jews, who have suffred
persecution. as you sit in your little white-boy ivory tower, having
never had to fear for your life at the hands primitive mobs (with views
like those you have expressed tonite), i don't think you understand at
all. every single palestinian can run to another arab state if they need
to, although they should never have to and if they feel they do then i
agree that the israeli government should sort itself out, but jews have
only one safe haven.

yes, some of the israeli defence forces' actions are grossly over-violent,
but this is a response to hundreds of years of always being hated. it is
not anti-arab action; it is symbolically anti every bigot in our
history. it's a silly way to be, but you can't suddenly live and let live
because we've had a state for 52 years when for most of the rest of
history, the world has been waiting for us to mess up.

so, i'm sorry, but you are extremely insensitive and short-termist on this
issue and i wouldn't say things like that unless you are prepared to be
responsible for ALL racial intolerance.
