Yes it's time for the results of the Fantastic Painting Competition...

...Well, before we get to the winner, i'd like to say thank you to all
the entrants in the Sinister "Paint a Picture of Belle & Sebastian on
Top Of The Pops" Competition, if it were up to me you'd all get a prize
for actually being arsed to do something.  The highlights* of the

In other news, I've seen that bloke from Kings of Convenience out and
about too, I noticed him cos he looks like a ginger version of this
photographer bloke i used to know, so I was doing that "is it/isn't it"
thing, looking at him.  He prob'ly thought i was some kind of deranged
fan, which i might yet be, all the reviews and interviews i've read with
them seem to make me think i'll like them.

In other other news, anyone heard the Brave Captain album yet?  I
mustmustmust buy it tomorrow, mmmmmmmmmmmm, Carr.  I think they/he
are/is playing the Garage soon, should be fun.

I have been reading "Young and Foolish" by a duke (formerly?) of this
parish and would heartily recommend it to any listee, especially the bit
at the back with a selection of the duke's posts to the list, which made
me want to go and read the ENTIRE archive from the very beginning.

So anyway, what is pop?  Or even !P!O!P!?

PS Just looked Y&F up on Amazon, and apart from the dry wit of Mr Miller
in the reviews section, I notice the duke has also written a book on how
to use the internet if you're a teacher, any reviews of that one out
there?
