hi there,

PAGAN BIT
happy hallowe'en. Today I learnt why Christian
holidays coincide with Pagan ones. It was very
interesting.

Decided against carving pumpkins this year. Last year
boyfriend and I carved one each, his with the mogwai
Young Team logo on it, mine, with a cat sitting on the
moon.

Very apt.

Then some kids came pestering at the door. This year,
I don't think pumpkins would be safe. Not in my area.

AUCTIONS

I noticed that the auction has started. So far,
there's a £65 bid for Stuart Murdoch to help folk
write music and things.
Blimey.

I don't think I would personally bid for that. Cos I
can make much better music without Stuart Murdoch's
help, thankyou very much. I just need to find a way of
communicating it to my talentless guitar.
Then, you can all join my fan club.

Might bid though for Gregory Pothier and his art
painting thing. As far as I know, hes a very talented
chap. My opinion? well, hes a hot tip.

Not a bad painter either. ;-)

Then I could give it to my gran. (She loves everything
I do. The sun? its dull in comparrison to my bottom.)
She really needs to replace that picture I drew when I
was eleven of her dog being zapped into outerspace.

I don't know what I would have offered. I thought
about it, briefly, but the only talent I have is my
boyfriend, and I'm not about to pimp him. I thought
about pimping.. sorry, AUCTIONING.. my dream
interpreting "skills". But I do that for just about
anyone who asks what it means to find themselves
riding up a mountainside on a white horse chasing a
cat away, to the sound of untuned music, and in the
middle of rain.
I also considered being a shopping partner, carrying
peoples bags and things. But that would involve
patience.

I don't have a talent.
I have many.

I'm waiting for my student loan to come through.

Considering blowing it on hiring the services of
another B+S fan for a day/whatever. But I don't think
my parents would be too chuffed. I owe them my rent
for my accomodation..

hmm..

parents.. auction, parents...auction...

where to put the money....
Maybe I'll just go shopping instead and think about it
in H+M.

Student loan is totally pants this year. Wheres my
money??! They're giving me a smaller slice of what I
deserve. I don't understand how I am supposed to
survive.

Also, I definately would have bid for anyone offering
to pamper me from a scalp massage to painting my toe
nails for an evening.
Scalp massages aren't as good when you have to do it
yourself. I get sore arms.

SHEEP

fluffy white things that go Baa.

Just a little fact for you, from the University of
Easy Access (UEA for short)
Back in Viking times, towards the end of Paganism,
when runes were still in use, the Icelandic folk used
to write on sheepskin. Could ythis be the origins of
designer labelling?

Sheep have a lot to answer for.

Anyway, I shall leave it at that for now.

Love,
Idles.
