dearest sini, 

phew, a-levels well and truly over. i went a bit mad on results night. i
had not one, not two, but three cups of tea in a row and watched
eastenders. so now i'm going to sheffield to "do" history. if any other
Sini people are in the same boat, please get in touch. my estimated number
of new friends made for the 1st year is 0 (zero); anything extra will be a
bonus. i'm finishing work at the library on sat. and had a card from the
staff. the lady i fought with (see past posts for whole boring story)
virtually spat "best wishes" on the page. hey, i'm leaving love, so you can
shove it, i said in my head.

i am going through an aimee mann period at the minute. she is never
mentioned here. are there any other fans? and for that matter, elliott
smith? i'm just a sucker for melodic, alt. pop. sad, really.

B&S: i'm currently re-assessing Beyond the Sunrise (i'm a bit slow, i
know). i heard it on the radio and it isn't so bad. i played it in the
shower this morning and it spooked my ass off, as Chuck D might say. 

oh, passport photos for uni. you spend hours in front of the mirror,
teasing your hair this way and that, looking mean, looking surly. you
re-take the photo 14 times, and still you come out with an face like a
smacked arse and a neck the size of the M1. with a spot on your bum chin.
right, finally, please can everyone read Francis Wheen's fab biog of K.
Marx. It's loveable. oh, and i mail-ordered some clothes which took a week
to arrive, and when they did, i found i had accidentally ordered them in
Pat Butcher/Roseanne Barr size. they still said Small on the jeffing
labels. Everyone boycott Hawkshead for being bourgeois and overly generous
in the sizing dept.
