retsinis,

My friend and I are filming a movie. The movie that I wrote
sixty pages of script for- over the course of six months.

we licensed "seeing other people" for one of the many
Eisensteinian montages in the film. It's called 'Gravity &
Grace'- from a line in a poem written by the main character
in Jonathan Coe's "House of Sleep", which is, as any of you
who have read it may know, an almost perfect book.

I'm nervous about the movie though, as I think most people
would be. The friend who's directing it wants to enter it
into all these festivals and such, and apply for grants
too. I dunno. We apparently have a publicity staff now,
which strikes me as eerily weird. We're going to have a
premier, and a party afterwards. It all seems too 'let's
pretend we're grown-ups' to me. I keep flashing back to
what Kevin Murphy, one of the writers for Mystery Science
Theater 3000 wrote- "maybe someday I'll have a vision, and
make a movie, and I fear that it will end up like all the
rotten tripe that we riff on".....

I still owe the short stories that I auctioned for the B&S
thing- there are five actually written, but still five to
go. and I need the artwork from my friend in Chicago....
hmmm. this seems like the point in the post when I have to
say 'i don't know why I'm telling anyone this, but thanks
for reading if you got this far'. electronic group
counseling.

geoff farina's new record is quite good. I listened
to 'Steely Dan' about 25 times today....troubling.
