well hello there

its been a while, a long while but here goes...

first a big hello and thank you to all the lovely listees i met at pow! to
the people 2 on sunday. the aislers set and the clientelle were just
lovely, and the pot noodle incident which juicylucy alluded to was most
amuzing...
i feel much better as the new kid in london to have been spotted for what i
am and to have found some kindred spirits.
i think its something about feeling that you belong without losing your
individuality, or something.
i managed to stand next to the bass player from the aislers set and chat to
her during one of the other sets, and she was very fetching in her stripy
top and not at all like anthea turner. i'd be quite distressed if i thought
i was attracted to anthea turner lookalikes.
i'm gutted that i missed them on john peel, especially being a huge joy
division fan and all...
i can also now recommend a band called vermont too, they played one track
that was a bit like i could be dreaming and another a bit like 23 minutes in
brussels by luna. fab.

i'm very glad that someone else has noticed the iron maiden references in
b&s. maiden were my first real gig and though i've largely grown out of my
rawk heritage i'm still rather partial to a drop of black sabbath.

im having a sulk this evening as the lovely girl i met last wednesday
*still* hasnt got in touch and i've had to bring work home. not fair!
