Sinister: London Picnic

How did I manage to get nominated as the Picnic Secretary then?  Eh?  I
don't know.  Well, I bet you're all just gagging to dig your tartan
blankets, plastic cutlery and frisbees out of the cupboard, so without
further ado, here are the details you need to know if you're coming to the
first picnic of the season (yay!)

Date:  Saturday, 5th May

Time:  2pm

Meeting Point:  outside the Odeon Cinema on Parkway, just round the corner
from Camden Town.  Like all Odeon Cinemas, it has GREAT BIG WRITING on the
outside telling you it's an ODEON so you shouldn't miss it unless you're
suffering from life-threatening myopia.

Moving on to:  the tippety top of Primrose Hill, via the extremely handy
off licence on Parkway (Oddbins?  Threshers?  Can't remember, but they'll
uncork your wine for you if you smile sweetly)

If it rains, which is a distinct possibility:  The Spread Eagle pub, again
on Parkway.

So, bring lots of bouze and some kind of foodstuff with which to line your
stomach and (hopefully) prevent pukery.  You don't want to be mistaken for
a Camden tramp, do you?

If you're thinking of coming on your own, don't be shy!  By all means
email me (off list, natch) if you'd like me to say "Please, please, please
come and don't worry that nobody knows you because we'll be nice and look
after you and nobody knew me at my first picnic until I got very pissed
and started waving a yellow stuffed bunny rabbit in everyone's faces and
generally being silly).  Also, if you get lost on the day, you can call my
mobile - 07799 761 141.  No heavy breathers, please.
