and lo, it is writ, that for at least 7 days out of every year, all mailing
lists shall turn into the official hughes and plath discussion forum.  but
here's the real question: who would win in a fight, right?  ted and sylvia,
or stuart and isobel?  hmmm.....?

meanwhile, two messages from the delightful miss crush this week!  i haven't
even posted.... oh.  right.  clearly i am more attractive when silent.  i
just hope, whoever you are, you didn't form your opinion of me from the
'tattoo' sillistration, because, erm, my breasts don't look like that in
real life.

i could now write about things that bug me (easy option), or i could list...

... things that i'm glad the world has in it:

1) the princess bride.  i'm reading it at the moment and wondering why i
never read it earlier.  was it because i was too busy reading worthy middle
english wank like piers plowman (a morality tale - the moral presumably
being that we're all such sinners, we deserve to have to read this shit) at
university?  what a waste.
2) philip pullman.  you really should read him if you haven't.  or i'll put
a dragon's head in your bed.  the 'his dark materials' trilogy is harry
potter meets tolkein meets milton and it's wasted on children, the little
bastards.
3) rebecca pidgeon.  a great actress.  i think i love her. (sorry mr mamet.)
4) frances mcdormand.  (see above.) (apart from the mamet bit.)
5) my best friend's home made soup.  i swear she puts crushed up happy pills
in it or something.
6) the go-betweens.  if i had to justify my love, it wouldn't be love.
7) ben and jerry's new york fudge chunk ice cream. less of a dessert, more
of a lifestyle.
8) the simpsons.  what your tv was made for.
9) need i mention **** & *********?
10) can't think of a number 10 but it's a round number so....

on to practical matters.

MEET-UP
the place: brighton, england
the day: friday (not saturday any more, sorry if this screws it up for
anyone)
the time: 6pm onwards
the venue: initially, the clock tower (2 mins from train station)
the entertainment: a pub
the other entertainment: divebomb @ the core club 10pm - 2am
the real entertainment: ritual comparing of tattoos, doughnuts on the pier,
watching archel spill tuaca down her cleavage.

we all know you're soft cos we've all seen you dancing... so c'mon kids.
give yourselves up to my seedy seaside pleasures...... i mean, mail me for
