...theres still some snow left on the grass from last
nights brief flurry of bizzaro weather...its like
summer outside but the flowerpots are covered...maybe
its the last gasp of winter before *aaaah* spring
comes along at last...this seems to have been the
longest winter ever...things just drag when the sun
sleeps.....


it was great last might, sitting im my darkened bedroom staring out of the 
window at the flurries of snow past the streetlamp opposite, changing 
direction on the merest whim, sigur ros travelling from vinyl to tape via 
speakers as a gift to a friend who's moving to australia on tuesday before 
starting uni at oxford in the autumn, lucky bastard. my thoughts and worries 
easily drifted away with the snow but they'll be there waiting for me as it 
melts away in a couple of days just leaving dirty slush by the edges of 
roads and sleeples nights to contend with. i suppose he'll miss summer here 
and get three winters in succession but australian winters aren't famed for 
their harshness.  this morning the flowers were just poking through the 
remains of last night's weather in the park.  spring must be on it's way as 
the cycle of anticipation continues, i really want summer to be here, 
daylight lasting longer and not having to wear a jacket every time i leave 
the house, but i will feel the exact opposite as autumn starts kicking in as 
i did last year and the year before that.

has this taken 15 minutes?, i think so
