hmmmm. i downloaded the peel version (thanks!) and listened tuned to the
go-betweens as that had been mentioned, but listening again, there *is* a very
malkmusian style to the melody and delivery. nonetheless, i think robert forster
looms large, especially that guitar tone. the peel production (or lack thereof)
even makes it sound like it's some long lost 80s song.
but that's all just my slightly groggy humble opinion of course.
time to wash the dishes.
