Hello:

I recently joined this list and I am looking for some information. But first,
here's some background.

I fell in love with Belle and Sebastian in the summer of 1997. I was the Music
Director at a college radio station in New Orleans at the time and "If You're
Feeling Sinister" came across my desk and I went crazy for it.

So needless to say, when I heard that the band would be making its first trip
to the USA for CMJ in NYC, I could not wait to be there.

Their first performance in the states was at a TV studio- the taping of an
episode of "Sessions from 54th Street" I think it was called. I was at this
show and it was fabulous, but I do not think it ever aired.

So my first question is: What ever happened to this performance? Are there
copies circulating? Why did it never air? Any information of any sort would be
much appreciated.

The next day (I don't remember the date), I saw them play in an old church and
it was even better than the TV taping. They played two nights and I attended
the first night. I even managed to jump on stage after they were done playing
to snag the hand-written set list. I would love to get a copy of this show if
anyone taped it. I don't have much in the way of trades, but I do have some
live Neil Young, Flaming Lips, and Neutral Milk Hotel stuff that's very good.
I could also make a copy of the setlist if you care about that sort of thing.

Thanks--Andy
