Not as antisocial as me.  I arrived at the rock 'n'
roll time of 4:15 am.  Kept everyone up all night - me
mum was on drugs and everything.  Still, remarkable
coincidence.  Are we the only B&S Day babies or are
there others hiding out there?

Indeed - never underestimate the power of bananas. 
Especially banana sandwiches.  Toasted ones.  Yummy.


In other news, I've succeeded in bending the spine on
a copy of Gravity's Rainbow.  So far It's kept me
interested for about 30 pages - largely due to some
impressive banana-related passages that made me hungry
- and I fear I may finish it.  I doubt if I can be
bothered to Report Back when I do.

I love Sundays more than I love The Sundays but not as
much as I love cold sundaes.  It took me a long time
to get used to them since for years they used to
remind me of avoiding unfinished homework by watching
Howard's Way.  Now they remind me of sunny afternoons
in quiet village pubs in the South Downs.  And
cricket.  Except I hate cricket.
