Sinister: I'm just a dirt-age tea bag. Baby.

well if you know the origin of *that* subject (and i mean in its current,
not original, form) you win bonus points, a cuddly toy and jar of marmite. i
suspect only mr moore has the faintest chance of knowing, so my jar of
marmite is safe.

i wouldn't normally do this kind of thing y'know, but a number of things
have roused me from my slumber.

1. the white stripes are in session on john peel tonight (wednesday) and not
one of you has had the decency to tell the rest of the class.

2. honey disputed the fact that phil lynott owned that bass. will the
scarboro posse please back me up here. struan said it. with his mouth.

which reminds me: 2+1/2. someone mentioned weak lemmon drink. this should
happen more often. as should references to curious oranges. stew lee has a
book out now, which you can buy while you wait for simon armitage's (does
anyone know when this is out?)

3. listened to yo la tengo's 'and then nothing turned itself...' yesterday,
and noticed that the title to one track is the crying of lot g. this can't
have nothing to do with pynchon's the crying of lot 49. i was going to check
the archives, but that appears to not be an option. can anyone help?

4. el nombre rules! there appear to be two - one involving spanish beavers
and another involving gaz top. the spanish beavers are grate. obviously it's
not really as good as bagpuss, but what is?

i am in york, but i'm too scared to meet carsmilesteve - he's a celebrity!
and he might point and mock, cos i recognised his subject. (in my defence,
it's my ex's fault)

er, that's it. i'm too lazy to reply to stu hallifax, so i'll say hi from
here. heehee. and to chris j and f-b and jonny while i'm at it.

oh! i listened to the preston school 7 inch for the first time 2 days ago
and i wanted to eat it, it was so warm and solid and lovely. tho that may
have been due to desmond's tape (entitled 'if music be the food of love, eat
all your vinyl') for which i never thanked him... thank you!

back to....doing nothing (ah, the life of a student).

love
gina
