Sinister: What's so Great about those Lakes anyways? (Picnic)

What's so Great about them? There's a bloody lot of you around them.

Hello Sinister Children. As some of you know, I mentioned the hope of
getting a midwest/Great Lakes picnic together sometime before the end of
summer. The response I got was heartwarming, it seems I could build a small
twee army out of the number of folks who wrote me to say that they were from
the Great Lakes area and that a picnic was an ace idea.

So, where are we at, picnic wise, you ask? Well, now that I know that
there's a large number of you waning to attend, we have to decide a few
things. Things like, where are we going to have said picnic? Suggestions
were made, and at the moment somewhere in southern Michigan/northern Ohio
seems the most centrally located and fairest for all concerned.

Anyone in the southern Michigan/northern Ohio area who has an idea of where
to have said picnic is encouraged to contact me. As much as I'd love to have
the picnic in Chicago for the sake of Navy Pier and Grant Park, I'm afraid
that that would be too far off the beaten track for some folks. Cedar Park
was mentioned for the camp grounds and the park itself, but I think the
price of such an excursion would be prohibitive to many.

Soooo...write me and let me know what kind of a picnic this should be.
Should we plan on camping? (anyone willing to donate tens would be well
loved in this event) Is it just an afternoon gig? Anyone willing to bring
and play musical instruments will be doubly loved. City picnic, park picnic,
camping ground picnic, what shall it be?

The suggestion to invite our Canadian neighbors has been made, so I extend
the invite to them as well. Any Sinister Ontario kids are welcome to come
out and play.

When you all write me *please* let me know where you are from and how far
you can travel, as well as when is the best time for you. I'm aiming for a
saturday myself, as this seems to be the best day to toss the picnic.

Speak up Sinister brothers and Sisters.

Jim
