Sinister: public apology

this is a post to say how very, very sorry i am for making you recieve 3
copies of the same rather boring and lacking in content post. and as a mark
of respect to all those who fell, i'm not going to use capitals for this
post.[deepest regrets] i reckoned that short and simple said it all rather
than long waffly rubbish involving gushy nonsense and hollywood-style
heart-to-hearts.
I have a lot of extremely free time at the moment. Lots of it. And to
relieve my boredom, I'm going to give you some musings which vary immensely
in quality.

i wrote some new words to "a whiter shade of pale" which were entitled
"a darker shade of black", "a blacker shade of dark" being a crappy name and
me not feeling like giving it an original one. i won't tell you how they
went but i might run something where you have to compose new words for a
reasonably well-known 60's song. i don't know how that would go down with
all of you but some feedback on the idea would be appreciated as long as
it's not too critical in an abrasive manner in which case you can keep it to
yourself.
i have been catching up on my sinister mail although i still have forty
messages to go. i walked past the shop where sam walton works today but i
hadn't read that one at that point so i didn't know he worked there and so
didn't go and say hello and also i think i would have been too nervous being
as i don't know you or what you look like. i hope my rather odd use of the
word 'you' meaning both individuals and the sinister mailing list as a whole
is not confusing you too much (it's somewhat like the divine comedy for
those of you who've read it, and if you haven't, don't bother)
has anyone noticed that the word 'tao' is remarkably similar to the
first three letters of 'toast' with the 'a' and the 'o' switched around. not
a coincidence, i think.
if any of you feel like getting so depressed that you actually do want
to jump, read a very good book called 'they shoot horses don't they'. it's a
tour de force of staggering genius from start to, well, where i've got to at
least.
this post is a bit long so i'll cut it short and not waste yet more of
your time despite having even more little comments to make,

Joe

PS sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. I cannot
express my complete groveliness in words but i hope you can imagine it.
