friends, human, sinisterines!

centuries since previous post and with good reason, the fecudity of
locutions has kept me in the backlogs of weblogs (am i right? is that
what "weblogs" are?) still amusing and moving and manic, but impossible
to respond. yet i refuse to recuse myself from at least scanning every
last one and no, neither can i start from the most recent and move up (i
am the sort who... well, let me put it this way, during my schooldays,
the 'hardkids'--to use the jenowl neologism--used to steal my paperback
novels and read the end to me as a form of mischief/torture: the end is
supposed to be at the end for a reason!)

and so ensues...raison 'd 8-track:
for no other reason than to engender dispute, in my latest attempt to
recruit for the cult, what follows is the title and sequence of my own
personal best-of B&S (that there also exists a similar-if-not-quite
identical mix used as the enticement doesn't mean that this does not
express the essence of it) as contained on one 80-minute CD.
legal man
the boy w/the arab strap
dirty dream #2
nice day for a sulk
the state that i am in
it could have been a brilliant career
slow grafitti
judy and the dream of horses
la pastie de la bourgeoisie
don't leave the light on baby
expectations
i could be dreaming
like dylan at the movies
the model
seymour stein
seeing other people
she's losing it
a century of fakers
family tree
a summer wasting
womens realm

and yes, i know, the other version has mayfly in there somewhere...

rawk as rock:
went out for a sonic reducer wednesday: picture this, if you can--glenn
branca & the plaza in front of the world trade center! the former, the
foremost composer of guitar army symphonies (there were 100 there,
guitarists, i mean, ten bassists and one drummer), the latter the former
tallest building(s) on this planet. the question in every one's mind:
could they hear this band on the 106th floor? probably, it felt like an
sst taking off on wings of ostrich guitar straight out of VU "white
light, white heat"...extended for one hour...where time seemed to
stretch and warp as much as you could see these steel columns rising
into the sky straight and long as the neck of an aluminum fender
stratocaster, the interregnum floors seeming as much as
frets...wondering if the mountain had come to mohammed or vice
versa...or whether mohammed was strumming the buildings...
title of piece: Hallucination City.

last nite was a lot of sci-fi smut read at a local queerculture bistro
called dixon place. a drag queen prostitute boy becomes woman-for-a-day
from nanotech biomolecules, a female scientist teases co-worker with a
story of how she fuckt a black hole, and others from the nerve.com
site's present presentation of this edition. i include this only as a
sop to those who feel all the talk of the tour has lowered the oozey,
funky, sweaty, steamy content of this list to a new low.

be reading you.
