Sinister: my life is a glunk

on my trip to the book shop (to get an SAT II reveiw book, which is currently 
driving me crazy) i had a little sit down with a few dr seuss books.

i found a quote that struck me as something and i dont know what

The Glunk just smiled and said "Dear child, 
You can't un-thunk a glunk
Ask any one they'll tell you that a glunk can't be UN-thunk"

Its really quite sad.  The poor girl sits there thinking of soft fuzzy 
things, and one day she wants something exciting, so she makes this monster 
that can never be sent home.   sigh.
