this is going to be a self-pitying post, so if you're
not into that sort of thing, skip on to the next one.
I recommend reading it, if only for the reason that it
might make you feel better about your own life.

I finally did it. I broke down and told my friend jake
that I like him in that fun kissing way. we dated for
a little while about a year ago, but we decided (well,
he did) that we should be friends. I like having him
as a friend, but I can't help but feel things for him
that I probably shouldn't. unfortunately, he doesn't
feel that way about me. apparently he finds me
attractive, and he likes me, but not that way. it
makes about as much sense as that sort of reasoning
ever does, but I do understand it. now I have to
decide if I want to continue being his friend. 

the best part was, he stayed at my place until almost
5:30am. then went over to his room. came back and told
me he was locked out. so we stayed up until 7:30, when
his roommate was getting up for class, getting pissier
with each other as time went on. oh, people suck.

I just need someone to hold and to hold me. smoking at
my window while listening to galaxie 500 just isn't
cutting it.
