Sinister: Degeneration, indeed

Hello again everyone.

I once said I couldn't wait for uni to start again; well, maybe I should
reconsider. The work is piling in on me, yet I'm doing enough.
One of my projects this semester is a website (which I'm working on at the
moment), and part of it is to be on The Divine Comedy. My favourite band for
the last two years. But they are no more, I hear most of you cry. Yes, I
know (I have been around many DC sites in the past few days) but I'll
proceed with the site anyway.
Ah well. What a shame. What was it that caused the split anyway, I wonder?
Was it the poor sales of Regeneration? Then again, Liberation and Promenade
never did that well either. Some of their albums don't seem to get the
credit they deserve. I'll admit I was annoyed to see Regeneration selling
for only £9.99 in Virgin a few months ago.
OK, tonight I'm off to sing in my first concert for the local Operatic
Society. I'm going to need a lot of luck.

Before I go - good to see you are all paying tribute to TDC in some way or
another. And Stu - You said "..apparently Neil Hannon will still be
recording for the same label, and since he wrote all the songs anyway, it
shouldn't be too traumatic, but still." Yes, it shouldn't be too traumatic.
TDC have had different line-ups before, and Neil will be recording for
Parlophone. But if there is a new line-up, will it be as good? And, that was
a good title for your message - you can see I've borrowed it.

Take care,

Psi
