At the risk of prompting more bad jokes about eating in the middle of the
ocean, I've been asked to post an important announcement about the September
6 mid-Atlantic picnic:

Kim Girton, picnic organizer extraordinaire, has been struck by one of those
nasty computer viruses going around and has been forced to change her email
address.  If you are interesting in attending, please write to her at her
new email -- kg11053 at yahoo.com.  
(Kim is back in the Sinister nursery since switching to the new email
address, so all future picnic announcements will be sent off-list.)
