coming from a country that didn't qualify for the
european championships and living in a country that
didnt qualify for the european championships and not
even caring enough about football to avoid watching
the Beach on the other channel, (what the hell was
that all about - i don't care how nice the beach is
but 6 years of beach volleyball is gonna get dull???),
i suppose i should feel left out....
but i don't really care, so thank you apathy, once
again... and thank you dad for making me love rugby
and get bored by football, c'est la vie.... a
glaswegian anomlay indeed.
my latest bout of idiocy involved the concept of
recording music...something i guess many of you will
be familiar with....it all started with a mobile phone
(with recording facility), a vorspiel (norwegian code
for getting trashed before going out thus in theory
avoiding need to purchase numerous 50 kroner beers in
the pub whilst in reality inducing need to buy even
more expensive liquor), and a very bad acoustic guitar
based cover of a song which i believe doesn't actually
have guitars in it. genius.
since then, via the all empowering embrace of the
incredibly poor thus incredibly enhancing sound
quality of the phone mic, we have come to believe we
need to record to a non phone based media. this led
rapidly to the heady world of digital 4 tracks and
fancy instrument mics...i had to stop when i realised
i could probably live for half a year in asia for the
cost of hearing a perfect reproduction of a
guitar-less song played with guitars by 2 guys,
neither of whom could sing...
never let the dream be diminished by facts but there
comes a point. Anyway, since then, and most probably
for the better, i have become aware in the style of a
caveman wandering into the NASA headquarters of the
sheer myriad of pc-based technology available for such
musical efforts, so despite lacking a pc, this could
be a more sensible way of going about things...?
mmm splurge...the wind is blowing itself into a frenzy
and am about to spend 2 days and nights on a large
boat off the coast of norway.
hope the Glasgow show rocked..
i'm off to get acquainted with the interior of a
bucket.

adios amigos :>
