Sinister: send in the clones

Well, I think i've finally become a character in a B&S
song, a disaffected temp in a badly fitting shirt
carrying her poetry book everywhere and silently
plotting films in her head...

There's a new temp at work, John, who seems a wee bit
old for a temp, maybe late 20s, but I'm young, so what
do I know? Anyhow, yesterday he was chatting witht he
girl who was showing him the ropes about diet and
fitness then suddenly turned round to me and said 'Are
YOU on a diet as well then?' Harrumph! It wasn't so
much the implication that I am one of The Fat, more
the implication that all women, especially those with
a bosom and a bum, must be n a diet. Honestly. And I
was being so polite to him too, despite his
combination of white and purple checked shirt and
brown paisley tie...

...he asked me if I liked star trek and superman
today, so I think he's socially inept rather than
offensive. Hell, I'm just touchy at the moment, I
spent the bulk of my day reading the NatWest
Caravanning Club Newsletter on the staff intranet.

I wish my life was as fun as Astrid's. :-)
