Sinister: Another Sunny Day

It looks like Another Sunny Day is also available on Matador's
website (not to mention most, if not all of the album being leaked on
the internet):

http://www.matadorrecords.com/belle_and_sebastian/

I'm not sure if this was done as a response to the leak or not, but
with a growing number of records being leaked on the 'net, weeks or
months before their release date, I'm wondering if groups/labels are
going to wisen up and out-leak the leakers: immediately release the
record as soon as it's been finished, since the way things are done
now will never prevent albums from getting out well in advance of
their actual release date. Artists: make the album available for
download on iTunes, etc. when you finish it! Get it off to the
presses ASAP, and in the stores shortly thereafter.

PR interviews, gigs, and tours are great, but I fear everyone's hard
work is being undercut by these kinds of actions. I'd hate to see a
hard working band such as B&S lose any sales due to these sorts of
things.

Sigh.
