I read a great article in a scholarly journal the other day. It was
saying that George W. Bush is A GOTH. Apparently his fear of Osama
Bin Laden is similar to the kind of spectral fears you would get in
Gothic novels back in the past. I am looking forward to seeing GWB
hanging out with the disaffected goth-metallers who loiter in front
of the Central Bank here in sunny Dublin.
I'm going to be doing some hanging out of my own soon enough. Do you
know that Belle & Sebastian? They are coming to old Dublin town, and
some of us are going to see them. The early bird catches the worm, as
it were, and we have all ended up with tickets for the Sunday night
concert. During the day on Sunday there is talk of heading out to the
Botanic Gardens on de northside to look at the plants and stuff. Then
we will stroll down to Phibsboro for food and pints, before rolling
down to the gig to cause trouble. Does any of this appeal to you? If
