Sinister: into the light

Hi Sinistreens,
I've posted only a few times and it was always nice to hear back. For years
I've thought I would leave sunny (I mean that as an insult) southern
California for the crisper climes of the isles west of the north sea. This
hasn't happened, but I do intend to lurk less in general. As a large baby
step towards putting my own music out I spent a long time and a lot of care
arranging and producing another artist, whom I think some of you might like.
The record just got released in the UK this month on XL: "Ash Wednesday" by
Elvis Perkins. His funny name is real; it is not rockabilly. Nor is it a
Catholic album, but it is a lot about grief. You might have heard of it,
but I thought you should know it was made by a Sinistrero.
I hope everyone is enjoying the morning of summer,
Ethan
PS While I was mixing part of this record in LA, B&S were next door at the
more plush digs of the Sound Factory recording the Life Pursuit. Despite
the subject of the album I was working on, for some reason we didn't call it
"the Afterlife Pursuit"... I saw Stevie and Sarah wandering back and forth
to the coffee shop on the corner a bunch of times. Stuart I only saw in the
parking lot, alone and sunning himself like Bathsheba, only with more a lot
more clothes (nordic complexion). I think he was trying to absorb the
fading echo of good vibrations.

Pps I hope this isn't considered list abuse. Honey yell at me if it is.
