I am listening to COLOSSAL YOUTH which, thanks to the magic of Steady Mike's computer, has uploaded straight to iTunes without my having to enter all the song titles etc all over again. And the same goes for Morrissey Live in Buenos Aires, thanks to the magic of Mooro! Just have to see know whether the Left Banke and the Burrito Brothers at the Avalon Ballroom have been sprinkled with the same convenient fairy dust. --- On Thu, 8/7/08, kenneth.chu at uclh.nhs.uk wrote: > From: kenneth.chu at xxx.uk> > Subject: Sinister: A Picnic on a Sunbeam (sinister bday picnic?) > To: sinister at missprint.org > Date: Thursday, August 7, 2008, 12:40 PM > When daylight saving makes for a clearer view > Sleep a little more if you want to > But restlessness has siezed me now, it's true > I could watch the dreams flickr in your blogs > > Lying here asleep on Primrose Hill > I wonder if you realise it's Sinister's birthday > soon? > > ---- > > Think about a new destination > If you think you need inspiration > Roll out your Mac and mark it with a post > > I will follow every direction > Just lace up your shoes while I'm fetching a sleeping > bag, a tent... > > Sinister's Birthday's passing by > All I need is somewhere I feel the grass beneath my feet > A walk on sand, a fire I can warm my hands > My joy will be complete > > ---- > > Sinister's birthday is around the corner again, guys, > picnic on the bank > holiday weekend e.g. Sunday 24th? Last time I had a bad 'incident' in Camden Town and didn't make it as far as Primrose Hill. There's some dodgy people as well as the nice. Now that I have a nice laptop with CD burning capability I would be up for doing some mixes. The only thing I'm lacking is a vinyl to mp3 machine - gah I need my money for other things at the moment. I'll be in London this weekend actually. Two of my very close friends are taking part in the triathlon. On Friday and Saturday I'll be at the Great British Beer Festival at Earl's Court. I'll be doing some working and some playing. I've finally set up a facebook account (just search for Amy Skelton). I've signed up to the I'm feeling Sinister and Offbeat groups but it's still a work in progress. Another work in progress is my myspace page - url /borokitty I trust you are all well... ...Amy __________________________________________________________ Not happy with your email address?. Lately I have been listening to ELVIS PRESLEY. Put that on your telly and jive to it. Last night I was listening in the muted light and mostly dark to random highlights of THE BOY WITH THE ARAB STRAP. It sounded terrific. I think I heard that the BOWLIE BOARD was shutting down or something, in which case (if true) SINISTER has outlived it. Perhaps that can be a subsidiary theme of the celebratory picnic. Today it rained heavily, now it is sunning lightly. Look out for THE FOXGLOVES with their imaginary cover of BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, possibly in time for the 2012 Olympics. +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister at missprint.org. I'm celebrating the completion of something I've been working on for years by taking a brief tour of the Holy Land, aka GLASGOW. I just was doing a video in Republic of Ireland, am in Belfast now, but taking the ferry to Glasgow tomorrow! I don't know anyone there... Maybe this is a query for couchsurfing but I'd love to share a pint or just get some guidance of where to go in my few days in the big (Scottish) city. Or I would be happy to be an admittedly thin excuse for a Glasgow Sinister gathering.
