Was at Cornershop last night which was pretty good, although I don't think they were particularly up for it - were they pretty pissed up on Sunday, people who went in Glasgow? I assumed it was a massive hangover job - what with finding out they were at number one and stuff, but then I've never seen them before, it was good though, pity they seem to employ some sort of Radio Forth DJ chappie for the aftershow bit! Sorry JJ, didn't mean to offend in any way, as regards Julian Cope but a lot of Peggy Suicide reminds me of the Bevis Frond (?!), however, still like Treason and Sleeping Gas and stuff, I'm sure he's got something to offer, if someone can help him remove his head from his bottom. I've just got a slapping at work for listening to the Kevin Shields' mix of Primal Scream, as it roars out the earphones at 2000 Dbs. What's happened to this man, where are his own records? He's absolutely astounding and yet it's 7 years since the last one, this seems to be very individual to the 90's, taking years to make records, it was what September '91 the last MBV record, May 1990 for the La's? (Although I can't see Lee Mavers ever getting it together really). Thank God Belle and Sebastian put out records regularly. Cheers, Keith.

Sinister: introduction

I joined the list yesterday, and the first thing I have to say is how surprised I am at the amount of messages that have come. As for other things, I live in Anaheim (a half-hour south of Los Angeles) and for a while I was the only person I knew who'd even heard of B & S. Now I know some people who've heard of them, and even one who's bought them. That's thanks to me, of course. I won't bother asking if anybody has "Tigermilk." What I do want to ask is; 1) Are there any other Southern California fans out there? and 2) If you are from SoCal, do you know of anyplace that carries "Dog On Wheels"? Most places have "Sinister" and I *finally* found copies of "Lazy Line" and "3.. 6.. 9.." last weekend. Hope to hear from anybody soon. dear list people - i don't know exactly what possessed me to do this tonight, but i made a move and suggested a party game in the Sinister chatroom. the people on chat between say 10 and 11pm GMT had a hoot playing that clever little game called truth or dare. we romped and stomped through the twisted layers of several listees' sex lives. you might wonder what exactly surfaced during this torrid session, but i'm afraid i'm sworn to secrecy. just let it suffice to say it came to light that tag had a "bar" connection, honey didnt do something or other before trying something or other, and i have kissed people from a few different countries. i hope that wasn't too vague. oh well, just thought i'd enlighten the masses as to the hot action in the chatroom...see you there... love > dina ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
