Readers. Its been a rather turbulent day for me which has left me floundering in a sea of panic and disbelief. Basically I went out to lunch with a friend/work colleague, and we got on to the subject of how- much- you -weigh. Like girls do. She leant over to me and said ' as a friend Susannah, you could do with losing a few pounds'. WELL! I've never been so insulted in all my life!, and am now at this moment eating watercress and spinach salad for my tea. Straight out the bag too as its less calories that way. Anyway, I have realised that since all the you -know- who's are out the country on a tour or something we can say what we like about them as they shan't be reading the list at the moment, so DIE! you fuckers! Not literally though of course, as if the New York gig is cancelled I shall be very disappointed and demand a refund. On another note, I have come to realise that because the band are so , well, ordinary looking, apart from Chris Geddes who stands out like a beacon against good taste, just about anybody down your way could resemble the *stars* with many *hilarious* ensuing moments. For instance, there's this man down the road who looks so similar to Stevie Jackson, that everytime I see him (knowing full well that this man exists) I jump a bit and think ooh there's Stevie Jackson! Whats he doing in Sainsburys? and what Does he want with that cucumber? I never knew he liked taramosalata and so on and so forth. There's also this alky on the corner , always slumped on a bench with a bottle in a paper bag and his trousers round his ankles who looks exactly like Richard...then again....... Furthermore my boyfriend looks exactly like the trumpeter, even down to the hair, but he's not fooling anyone. Last night my flatmate and I were getting truly excited! In just over 3 weeks, Belle & Sebastian will be in Toronto! So we started thinking and wondering what if all the listees at the show did something to identify ourselves?? So if we miss on a picnic or gathering (and it sounds like there's a few), we can still meet up at the show and be supremely sinister with PEZ dispensers! I'm picking up on an old thread here. Silly maybe, but sweet and in the spirit of B+S. ah trousers - you are a man of many a talent it seems. besides doing a spot of roofing in the kings cross area late on sunday night, and a few hours kip in the nick next to mine last eveningtide, i am happy to report that your antics since le super picnic at chez rory et linda have been mild. happy to see you made it back to the poetry cafe in one piece (thereabouts). now, the moment mr trousers' mail arrived 'twas funny coz i was listening to a certain harvey williams pleading with someone to quit shouting at him. "don't shout at me" he sang. now he's talking about some lady with a reputation. Sinister: Supper club is 16+. PERIOD!, Trembling Blue Stars

Kind of off the track, but has anyone heard Trembling Blue Stars and recommend them? I have heard only little things about them and finally found the CD for under $18.+ I know this has been answered, but I just need to put my word in: (it really only applies to people under 21+ freaking out over the NYC Show) No offense, but do any of you actually read the posts? I have said it and someone else has said it! IT IS A 16+ CLUB FOR CONCERTS! Yet you all have this idea that the supper club is 21+. I have been to the supper club 6 times since I turned 16. I called up before I got tickets to make sure. THE ONLY TIME IT IS 21+ is for the SWING CLUB DURING THE WEEK! There enough. End of discusion. It is 16+. Nothing else. Stop freaking! Okay, sorry for this rant. I have just been under a lot of stress! <<new yorkers that are desperate for tickets and knew they wanted to go........ya shoulda got em before, they didnt sell out for a while. was really easy to get em. yeah, thatll make yous feel better about not having tickets. hehe, sorry. >> Haha, that just struck as me as the typical, cynical new yorker attitude! Sinister: NYC Gigs - One more time

I called the Supper Club as well and they told me 21+ both shows. I guess it depends who you talk to. But anyway...half the showgoers will be under 21 - what could the Club do - not let 500 teenagers in?! Don't worry about it. And.....I just got carded in NYC a couple months ago and I'm 31!!
