Dear All, Very formal, which is just to lessen the blow of the coming torrent of abuse. All this talk of McDonalds and McFlurry and McGuiness. Last night I was watching rich mans telly and there was a bloke playing for Dundee called McSkimming. Is that just not the best name ever. Presumably in some previous life he was a plasterer or just an unemployed alcoholic who spent his days throwing stones at ponds. Elvis Preston asked.. >What's japanese for up the bum sex? Can this be the next list competition ? Sarah, you'll have to arrange a prize. A one way ticket to Brentford praps ? My friend Mr Rusty from Dougal and the Blue Cat was really impressed by the body parts page, especially the legs picture with the high heels. His eyebrows started going up and down like the clappers and his moustache started spinning round while he coughed and spluttered something about "in my mouth" and "golden shower", waving his arms up and down like a maniac. He now wants to send in a photgraphic series showing his stop-action erection process, but he hasn't got a scanner. Or a dinkle. I don't mean to be a killjoy, but they're all very Belle and Sebastian body parts, aren't they? Can't someone send in a picture of their massive jugs and saggy-jowelled arse? Speaking of which, I'm not against millennium celebrations because I'm a pathetic pedant, I'm against them because I'm a blody miserable killjoy. Just to prove it, millennium means "the thousand-year reign of Christ and his saints on earth before the end of time". Which changes everything. If Will Smith can release an album called "Willennium", why hasn't Lenny Kravitz released one called "Mi-Lenny-um"? Has anyone mentioned the Richie Coalbum interview on Amazon's website? It adds little or nothing to our knowledge of B&S. The good news is that Richie hasn't written any songs. The bad news is that everyone else has. The other good news is that Amazon are using the interview to sell Steps and Billie records, by means of surreptitiously linked links. I'm relieved to hear that you can only vote once on the Internet though. Many hundreds of years ago, a certain little lady walked by and asked for the address of the "Scottish Guardian" so that she could send Stuart Murdoch her problems. Sinister: He's making a list, he's checking it twice

'Ello 'ello 'ello What 'ave we 'ere then? What are you bunch of reprobates up to? What? You mean you're actually behaving yourselves? I think you're lying. I think you want Santa to think you've been good girls and boys so he'll bring a sackful of Girl's Worlds and Fashion Wheels and Scalextrics and Mr Potato Heads and Remus Basket Weaving Sets when he comes a-tumblin' down the chimney. I'd be happy with some of the lovely glittery elastoplasts like wot they've got in Superdrug at the moment because I'm a little wounded soldier. I have a big scab on my knee which cracks every time I bend it and catches on the inside of my cords when I walk. It will be ripe for picking in a few days time but for the moment I just need to cover it up. Of course, the Big Question is, what is the best method of plaster-removal? Mum always went for the quick rip approach but the very thought of it makes my eyes water. Not quite as much as the thought of scrubbing with a nail brush at the sticky bits that are left on your leg. Ow, Ow, OW! Let's have some headings... BLACK BORDERED BIT It is with the deepest regret that I announce that my littlest friend, my dear hamster, Thurston, has gone to hammy heaven. I converted a hair dye box into a little hammy coffin and laid him in it and covered him with woolly hammy bedding and buried him under the rosemary bush in the back garden. And shed a little tear. I have such happy memories of him rolling around a home-made hammy assault course in his plastic ball and if I shut my eyes I can still feel him crawling up my arm, over my shoulder and down the back of my cardigan. I'll leave a decent period of mourning (two weeks) and then go out and buy Thurston II. CONTENT? My car stereo plays tapes a bit too speedy-like. Monsieur Murdoch sounds like Bonnie Langford. Isobel's voice is so high pitched that it cannot be detected by humans, but an ever-growing pack of dogs lollops along behind the car, tongues flopping out between their slobbery chops. Not a pretty thing to glimpse in the rear-view mirror. But, as we all know, dogs refuse point blank to break the speed limit so, with a quick burst of the accelerator I can manage a getaway before they do any damage to the exhaust pipe. Sinister: Going Caravanning!

Dear you lot, Due to a new thing being on my computer, it turns out that it makes the background screen bright Brilliant White, and the text a rather luminous shade of most UNPALE pink. It clashes extremely violently with the subdued grey-ish blues of mail.yahoo.co.uk, thats for sure. Anything for f.a.s.h.i.o.n. though eh? I don't know why spelling 'fashion' in that manner reminded me of SQUEEZE. But I never know that they did "Cool for Cats"! For some reason I associate that song with 7up. Which is pants anyway. The best lemonade is R.Whites, but if you want to push the boat out a bit, and you happen to be in a wonderful Oirish O'Neils pub, go for their Red Lemonade. "It's funny, bitchy, utterly fascinating", said the Independent on Sunday! (Admittedly whilst describing the Film Diaries of Richard E Grunt, but thats beyond the point.) The last tape cover I made featured contributions from an iMac leaflet (filched from John Lewises!), and the timetable for the no. 65 bus to Brentford. Where I should've been going yesterday to see "Ma Vie en Rose", except I'm in Preston. So I'm going to the pub instead. I seem to have worked it so we go to the place where they sell cheap double vodka and red bull. It doesn't even taste that grate. But what does taste great, in the alky-hol ways, are cocktails. I recommend "mudslides", because they taste just like ice-cream, and when you talk about them, theres always some wit who brings up the love that dare not speak its name. No! Not the love for Simply Red Aha! The Love of a Male for a fellow Male. Yes. Me? I don't love anything unless it's Aislers Set these past few days. Or Whistler. I cried on a City Bus to Whistler the other day. See, its worth waiting for about a year to get fantastic promo copies of albums for 1.99 from the Vinyl Exchange. I'm sure I'd be obliged to like the album less if I'd paid its original rip-off price of 16.99! Riding on City Buses for a hobby eh... I decided one time I'd get ride about on Lunding Buses, and see where the traffic goes, and round round round round (I) get around. However, some people manage to find all sorts of booty and hidden treasure, I just end up finding a Sue Ryder shop and a McDonalds. I'm sure it's different in TOKYO. Kippu o ni-mai Tokyo made kudasai. And I bet I said that sentence wrong anyway. Whats Japanese for "up the bum sex". yes....in bed, i have a laptop hooked up & i have beenreading the post wishing we could all have a nice big sinister slumber party! thespacebaris sticking.... everyones suffering from the chillies @night eh? well belive me...iwouldrather be cold than roasting in my parents hows right now...iwakeup and my nostrils(yes i will send a pic of them of i must) are whistling beacause the heater stays on constanly & the air is a dry as the desert! hey wouldnt it be cool if i woke up and they were whistling a b&s tune? i will have to keepa recorder by my bed just in case! put that on yer cellphone! We used to hunt polarbears up here. These days we grab trouts as they swim past us while we stand outside the office smoking fags. No snow here. Just ray ray ray raining all the time. It's like the apocalypse is coming. And it is. Why wait for february and John Peel session of Belle& Sebastian if we all know that the big BANG is going to happen 31th of december? We are all going to die. The asteroid will crash while I'm drinking my beer, smirking at people saying "I told you, didn't I? But did you believe me? Nooooo." but hey, this is serious stuff: Is it just me or are the people on the sinister list afraid of mentioning well know bands because they think they are going to lose their street-credibility up here in the twee-land? And has anyone heard of those bands Shirley Lee from Spearmint is mentioning in that third song on "A wee away"- album? See, I can do that egoboosting too. But I know a whole lot of bands you guys haven't even heard of. Cartoon Tree and Pool, for example, which I saw last saturday. Pool was shit as always, Cartoon Tree was so Teenage Fanclub that you just wouldn't believe. But I also like Counting Crows, even though they've sold quite a few albums.
