Er, that was it, really. Oh well, if I must go on.. Hi Fight Fans! Why no reports of last Friday's PoCaff shindig yet? Who won newly-turned thirty-something Stevie Trousers' UniversiTwee Challenge? Sadly I couldn't go, due to a prior engagement with diminutive Brazilian Nick Dastoor look-a-like Isabel Monteiro & her band. It certainly adds to the drama & enjoyment of a gig when you know that the lead singer has slept with everyone else on stage. How unlike the home life of our own dear Struan. You just have to write nowadays, don't you? I mean, what with trying to win the lottery for the prize for having played the Last Post on (or should that be over) Sinister. I'd just like to thank Honey, & everyone else that knows me, & hope that he (ListMummy Jocasta) had time amongst all his battling to spot the one about the furry banjo strumming on the bus, because I know it was right up his street. Sinister: winter kept us warm

How queer. No digests for four days. Either a) the list is deceased, b) no-one's mailing, c) I've signed off and forgotten about it, or d) I've been taken off it for crimes against music. I've changed my plea to innocent, especially now the Foxgloves won't be burning up the night air till 2000. But if anybody's out there, let me register a good Christmas spirit round here. Maybe it's (as someone once said) the colour of the sky; maybe it's the prospect of setting a record and being out of all competitions by Christmas Eve; maybe it's too many doughnuts. Probably it's the fact that I've heard workmen, road diggin' men, singing 'Winter Wonderland'. (How refreshing. How..) But I do want to wish everyone a merry christmas, or what you will. The turkey's getting hard to eat. The snow's picking up. They're selling postcards of Alan Harper. Twisted Sister Disco spat out (in his usual charming fashion, of course): <<One of the things I like most about the Sinster list is the way it lurches from disaster to disaster, with hardly anything in between. Just like real life, only cheaper.>> Like real life, indeed. Like a real family. And, while every one of us would probably do anything to help our family in our time of need, I hope we all stop to think about what we're doing before sending any messages to our over-worked, stressed-out Mummy. I, for one, would never presume to know more than our beloved Honey when it comes to computers/internet technology, as I've just barely dipped my big toe into the cyberworld, and Honey is into it up to his pert little nipples. It may be tempting to send him some personal notes of love and support, but we should stop to think what it would be like to switch on our computers and find 1,156 messages waiting for attention.* This little Sinister family needs our Mummy to survive. And we need him (relatively) sane. While I'm sure he'd look quite lovely in one of those stylish white jackets with the wrap-around arms, I'm afraid it might make it a bit difficult for him to use his keyboard. Let's all pray/think positive thoughts/send good vibes his way, but let's be considerate. Let's just play together nicely in our Sinister room, and give Mummy the time and space to work out our family problems. I'm sure he'll peek in on us every now and then, to make sure we're not marking on the walls with crayons, and to update us on list progress. Sorry if I'm speaking out of turn. It's just a thought. Merry Christmas (or belated 'Happy Hanukkah') to everyone!! Wishing you all peace, love and happiness in the new year..... Nice to see this is all still working..... I think Honey will have to build lots of new shelving and instigate a complicated barcode inventory system just to keep track of all the props he'll deserve if he manages to sort out this nasty majordomo business. Good luck xx. My concerns over the Christmas number one have been justified (in the UK at least). While I'm quite glad that it isn't Cliff or that dodgy hamster (which would have reminded many a tearful Sinistereen of their departed furry pals at this the most festive time of the year), I'm even more disturbed that a cheerful and emotionless version on "Seasons in the Sun" was even made let alone allowed to get to the number 1 spot. In the Prophetic words of W. Axel Rose "where do we go now-w-w-wwwo-wwowww ?" The Honeyz joyfully rapping "Ode to the fallen" over a hiphop version of the "Last Post" perhaps ?*. Like every sane person I demand an end to this madness & desperately hope that the world will come to it's senses with the release of the forthcoming B&S longplayer. Oh I've just had a scary thought. Moaning about music charts was something my parents used to do when I was much younger and quite the Nik Kershaw fan. It's true we do become them in the end... maybe Logans Run had a point after all. I watched Dune over the weekend. I saw it years ago when it first came out and to be honest didn't understand it one bit, but it's aged well and now isn't half as baffling. But the people who thought it would be bigger than StarWars must be feeling quite daft. I think I'm still a good 10-20 years away from comprehending 2001 though. Global warming - yes please !. Dear Lot, When I wasn't shooting evil stares at people for slagging off Fosca on the stairs of the Spitz on thursday, I was talking to Lucy and Alix, and Lucy reminded me that if you don't post to the list on a regular basis, you get out of practise. So I'm afraid you're stuck with me, at least once a week. The aforementioned Trembling Blue Stars/the clientele/Fosca gig really is worthy of praise, though will doubtless be slagged off in this Week's Melody Maker. I can't remember the name of the journalist I spoke to, but he was clearly a big fat moke. Telling me I need a rockstar boyfriend indeed. Does anyone else find that they're unable to actually watch bands anymore? I've got the most distressing habit - I can't stand watching a band without wanting to run around talking to people. I can't read books, ethier - all I can do is saunter around the internet from one click to the next. One day my legs will turn to jelly, and then I'll be sorry. Try wearing your kitten heels then, I hear you cry. Jenny said she punched a nasty boy. I punched an ex-boyfriend in the face once, I don't think I quite burst his nose but he did cry. I really don't have the destructive instinct of GI JOE, but something just saw MEAN RED, and there he was, on the floor. Unlike Jenny, everyone didn't think I was hard, they just thought he was soft, which was probably equally as satisfying. Welcome home, Jygsaw Dave. I've only read the book of 'Breakfast At Tiffany's' and not seen the film, too. Jennifer Love Hewitt cannot play Audrey Hepburn in an upcoming biopic, that would unthinkable. I know a man, he's got a fair price... News just in - I'm going to All Tommorows Parties. I'm so excited, I can't wait to stand on the seafront. Sinister: How Big?

Hi Just thought I'd relate a fairly recent scary drunk story 'cause I think talking about it will help!! After a particularly drunken night out in cosmo hip Preston, my friend and I were ejected from a local kebab establishment after playing "who can fit the most kebab down the other persons back". Anyway, I staggered onward and homeward (to my girlfriends house who was away at the National New Designers Exhibition, she's very talented). I digress, I stumbled on I tried to hail a taxi. As one flew past I cursed and as I did a nice new looking and posh car pulled up. Now, details are still a little fuzzy but I think my drunken cognition supposed this was another taxi who had noticed my pathetic attempts at stopping the previous vehicle and had taken pity. The car stopped and very pleasant man said "Do you want a lift?". Still confused as to whether it was a taxi or just a good samaritan, I fell in to the car. Things were going fine, the guy starts talking away: Guy: Where've you been Leaky(me): (Very drunk) Roper Hall....hic Guy: blah blah blah Leaky: Really, blah, blah, hic Guy: Yes, blah, blah, blah, that's right Leaky: Well I never Guy: So, how big's your cock?!!!! That's right, he cunningly crowbarred the last question into the conversation as if he were asking about the weather. I asked him to let me out! Phew, he could have been the new Dennis Neilsen in training. It sounds silly but I felt really angry and used but anyway, I'm over it now. Incidentally, the mobile melody (thanks honey) is "The State I am in", which is nice 'cause it's the tune my girlfriend played over and over the night I met her. Sinister: LONDONERS/BRIGHTONERS, PLEASE READ THIS!

Me and my sinister friend from the list, Maria, have a BIG problem about our trip to Brighton. The deal is this: We were supposed to sleep at Marias friends place during our stay there, but she FORGOT we are coming to Brighton. She is spending her xmas here in Finland and won't be back to Brighton until the 29th, So now we need a place to stay for at least one night, the 28th of December. So what we need is this: a) A list of places where we could spend our night. I know, this shouldn't be a problem, but remember it's before the big frenzy on new yers eve, so all the places will probably be booked up beforehand. But if you know any good bed-an-breakfest/hotel/motel/something places we could spend our night, PLEASE let me know. Otherwise we're screwed. b) If there is a noble and understading person who would be so kind that she/he could let us stay at his/her place for that night on the 28th, we'd love it. I know, this is a strange question to ask but hey, we're all friends here, aren't we? Our plane will be at Heathrow airport at approx. 5.00 pm on the 28th.
