Hi all! various peeps mentioned <jeepster tee shirts> Jeepster tee shirts are definately weird. My gentle waves one is medium and it's too big, but my bus one is also medium and it's just right. The collar's weird though. I'm strangely all out of proportion to myself though, so don't take me as a tee shirt guide line. I've been having a belle and sebastian video evening, much to the dismay of my gran, who's looking after me. She wanted me to watched Blind Date with her. Also could Ian get in touch with me about that because I've lost his e mail addy and I want to thank him for taping the vids. Oh fudge! I spent most of the term looking forward to going home, but when I got there I realised that I was cut off from my friend John, sinister posts, the Jeepster website and Selectadisc, the record store round here which is really, reallly good. Since I couldn't get the sinister posts, I didn't even know that B&S were on the telly, so I missed it through ignorance. I couldn't afford to go to London for the Tigermilking either. I didn't realise that it was upstairs at the Garage - that is one of my favorite places in the world outside my bedroom and the library at university (where I'm sitting now, merrily typing and humming to myself). So, the only B&S contnet I can muster is purely selfish and negative - I missed everything. Oh, but I did see a fox last night. I was walkiung around in the dark at about a quarter to one when, there he was!!! I was scared at first, because I haddn't been expecting anyone to run out in front of me - but imagine my delight when I realised who he was... a real fox!!!! I'm a country lad, so I used to see foxes, rabbits and owls all the time, but since moving to the city, wildlife (not including pigeons) has been a rarity. I wish I could do a letter as good as Sarah and Layla. I'm jealous of Sarah because she's a writer and got to study Sartre at uni. I'm a philosophy student, confined to stodgy stuff from the past. Oh dear. Why don't I have a B&S freind???? I have John, but he's not here and he's always too far ahead of me. I met him when I moved to university... he was wearing a big duffel coat and the bus teeshirt. Now I've got a duffel coat too. I feel quite derivative, but he doesn't mind. I got laughed off of a chat room the other night. it was a Manics one... that will teach me... I shall stick to where I'm wanted in the futere, with Honey to protect me from smelly goths and killer girlies in boas.... hang on.... don't protect me from killer girlies in boas, Honey, but keep the goths away. I got called 'luv' on the bus yesterday. Actually, I get called luv every time I go on the bus... maybe our busdriver has a catchphrase; "75p please, luv". Or maybe it's my appearance.... I'm very small. Hey, guess what.... I also used to get picked last in PE (until I got very good at hiding in the library on a Wednesday afternoon!!!!). I used to be a librarian at school - I still ahve the badge. itsays, 'librarian' on it. It gives me an enormous sense of pride whan I wear it out and about.... My how I go on and on.... Well, I had better go now and cook some tea. I wishe I lived in America so I could go to those knitting clubs, but I don't, so I'll just have to have tea alone. Sinister: belle and sebastian ah um

ahoy-hoy* i have started a knitting circle with some friends... never before in my life have i felt so relaxed and stimulated. the first sunday after new years we had our first meeting and ever since we have been meeting at least twice a week, always on different locations to make it all more enjoyable. well not that knitting is not always enjoyable but to make it even... oh well you know what i mean. started out as five people, now we are a crowded bunch and i think this sunday we will by far out have the biggest meeting, expecting around fifteen people to come and knit. we meet every sunday for sure, the other dates are unknown but every sunday at eight it set... so we can watch the simpsons to start off with and easy up our minds. then we talk gossip and gossip. we also have a tradition of inviting friends over to play their favourite albums for us... i have to come to the conclusion that belle and sebastian make the best knitting music. it's really wonderful. drink hot coco/tea and some always show up with homemade cookies for our enjoyment. can life get better then that? i'm not sure, right now the answer is.... NO. Sinister: it is a novel but its my turn

hi everyone, happy new years and things. i am really tired i got drunk at work today and it wore off. im not supposed to get drunk at work anymore, they said the next time i did it i was fired, but the hotel across from where i work has a real cool bartender who gives me all the free drinks i want so i cant help it. ugh i had a lousy new year. that holiday isnt made for me. we left on the 30th at 5am , hopped on the N-Judah(fake ass subway) which took us to the bus which took us to the train which took us to Las Vegas . I dont like Las Vegas and i got real drunk and decided i didnt want to be there anymore so i went to the bus station at 5am to catch a bus home. i was still wearing my Las Vegas mini-skirt attire from the night before and all the retarded hotel door people kept bothering me so i changed in the elevator. i must have really been in the bus mood cause i threw on my B&S bus "logo" t-shirt.(people must have thought i was like a bus riding jerk, like obsessive) since i hadn't slept in 24 hours and i was drunk i passed out in the bus station. i got hungry on the bus and in my backpack i found one of those shake protien drinks and i tried to drink it BUT i fell asleep mid-swig and ended up pouring the piece of shit all over my lap...then when i got up and sat back down, i sat in it ( did i mention it was chocolate?) so now it looks like i passed out and crapped on myself. for the next 10 hours( it took 15 on the bus) i sat there trying to figure out which smell matched which person. I also realized i left the keys to my house in the hotel in Las Vegas...oh but it gets wetter(better+worse). So i get home, cant get into my fricken apartment so i go to the Liquor store to ask the guy if i can borrow a chair to hoist up the dam fire escape and break in the window, i call a guy friend to do the deed cause i am too tired, guy comes over climbs up the escape and WHAT DO YA KNOW he climbs up and goes into the WRONG apartment, eventually though i did get in, i got my keys back 2 days later and i managed to party with friends til 6am. oh! i met a guy though, an older guy, i think an antique or something and he is taking me to london and ireland in february! first class and everything! so (with my luck) if you see a plane crash on the news mid-february , it was most likely mine :) at least i still have an ass colleen www.firetalk.com +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the undead Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister(a)missprint.org". Be gentle, its our first time. we are so scared we want to do it together. okay, thats out of context. Hello Sinister listee's. This is a joint post...from the entire chapter of Belle and Sebastian fans..or so it seems..in Atlanta. (turns to sarah...) Leyla: shall we introduce ourselves? Sarah: this is weird,...stop typing what i say. Leyla: its okay, they know its our first time. Sarah: stop with the sexual innuendoes!!! Leyla: okay...well...lets just er...say hello. Hello : from leyla Hello: from Sarah Leyla: Sarah and I are good friends, she made me join the Sinister list, yay!..She also introduced me to the world of B&S... now i am as cool as she. Sarah:Leyla is one of my favorite people in the whole world! She & I are going to London together to see the sights... Leyla: I would just like to say..everyone..spell it "favourite" damn it. Yes, we are going to be hitting the streets of london and edinburgh from march 2 to the 13th. If you see some silly drunk rockstars.. (there will be 6 of us)..say hello. I'll be the tall one with fucked up hair. (though i pretend i have reason to have fucked up hair cos i think i am mod, but im not) Sarah: You are too mod, Leyla, don't be modest. Leyla was born in London and prefers the 'proper' way to spell... Bollocks!!! Leyla: yes, im not really modest, but..this is the B&S list..so i have to be shy..and demure. If she gets to say bollocks..i get to say WANK!! yeah! ANYWAY Various Belle and Sebastian fun facts: Sarah: met stuart murdoch and Belle! and Chris too! Leyla: didn't see B&S because no one would take her, but my parents dont mind hearing B&S when i play it..only band they dont complain about. Sarah: I just got a new bootleg of B&S! It has the song Lord Anthony on it, which is brilllllllllllliant. (with lots of L's) ..and a version of Slow Graffiti that makes me cry... Leyla: Sarah gave me a B&S pin. So now i am a true rockstar. ahhhh yeh. WE also met Angela off of the Sinister list...for our own type of B&S meetup at a pub in atlanta. Sarah: Angela, aka I Hate My Last Name, lovely girl really! Leyla: Sarah is going to dye her hair black. then we will be in Suede. I wont talk about suede though...cos's this is B&S. (p.s. i am neil codling, i swear) Sarah: Black won't really suit me and I have a fear of looking goth, but It is the only color I haven't tried. Sorry Leyla, colour. Leyla: :) Sarah is lying, she is goth. She loves skinny puppy and bondage clothing. Okay, just kidding. She doesnt. She is a hipster. LEYLA SCREAMS: "THIS POST IS TOO LONG, WE ARE KILLING THEM!!" Sarah: All the posts are long, no one really reads them the whole way through... Leyla keeps singing me praises, but really it is she who rocks the casbah!! ANyhow. I am shy, damn it. I like Belle and Sebastian, remember? Sarah is great. I am her little friend. Okay, so im 6ft tall, and she is what...5ft4...but...im several years younger..so i guess i am her little friend. I am 19..but have the mind and alcohol tolerance of a 22 year old as well. Sarah: I just want to state for the record that Leyla is not the lush that she pretends to be! She is quite tame and only climbs up on top of barstools to scream to the skies once a week! Leyla: come on! dont deny it, im a rockstar. I even fell asleep in the elevator and forgot to get off on my floor. hahahaha. OH...i would just like to say..right now we are listening to T-Rex. glam bam, thank you mam. Sarah: There is something really special in being able to share the music you love with a friend!! Leyla is the only friend that I have that is as passionate as I am about all the same bands. We dance like fools together and sing along word for word, it is wonderful!! One of the fundamental reasons for my theory that life is wonderful, is the fact that there exists such beautiful music, music that speaks to you not only lyrically but also musically. There is never such a bad happening in life that a good song can't make seem insignificant. LEyla: Sarah is a writer, cant you tell? She is smarter than all of you. hahahaha. Em. dont hurt me for that, though you are probably not reading this anymore. Hit the delete button...see if I care. Sinister: busses and gym class

hi. sorry to bother you all 2 days in a row. i am procrastinating. i have only one class on fridays. mind and brain. it's philosophy yet we cover some neurosci. how ironic that after nearly 4 years of university and pschology and attempts to avoid neurosci like the plague, that i end up getting neurosci in a philosophy elective. well. i for one was quite pleased to discover that the small brown bus tee is actually small. i am one of those little stick like b&s fans. usually all tees are big and as i like them fitted i never wear them. once a man came into my work and felt the need to comment on how short i am by saying: "you must be some sort of pygmi or something"! i just smiled. what could i say? i'm practically 5'3" i didn't think that was THAT short. i was often one of the last picked in gym class even though i had friends and in retrospect was probably one of the cool crowd. it was terrible. even my best friend wouldn't pick me. i was small and shy so i would never go after the ball in any sport. i was only good at running. i think that gym teachers should pick teams by numbering kids 1,2 or something. i don't understand why they'd be so cruel as to let children pick their own teams. whoever mentioned the poor climate control on busses was bang on. today it's -20 (or something, with the windchill). the busses i was on were either too hot or too cold. tonight i am going to watch the taping of "this hour has 22 minutes". for those of you who don't know (which i'm sure is the vast majority) it's a canadian spoof of news shows. it's very witty. i'm really looking forward to it. one last thing. does anyone know anything about nalda said coming out in canada. it's not in any of the books stores here (halifax) and i checked the chapters website and they'd never heard of it. i found it on amazon, but it ends up being a very expensive book if i order it from there. ok, i'm going. i hope everyone enjoys the weekend. if anyone has actually read this far thanks. i love you! -di "i respect those who have faith even though they are ignorant" -hemingway +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the undead Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister(a)missprint.org".
