Hello all, Work is so boring. SOOOO boring. I thought I'd alleviate some of the boredom by posting, so I'm sorry. I must warn that this post is nothing important, and is probably best skipped. So, let me get the little bit of content out of the way. I've had Tigermilk for over two years now, and I'm just now paying attention to the lyrics to "You're Just a Baby." Maybe I didn't think about it because my friend derided it for being "too babyish" or something. I don't remember. Anyhow, does anybody else think there is something sinister going on in this song? Maybe I'm just a perv or something. I have to go to the oral surgeon tomorrow to get my wisdom teeth pulled. It sounds like an unpleasant affair. The guy told me that getting one out my be a problem and I might lose some feeling in my nerves around there. That would not be cool. I'm also a bit worried about the anasthesia (sp?). I've never been under, but I've been told you have to for some reason. I know (knew) of a girl who was put under anasthesia during routine jaw surgery and never woke up. That's kind of scary, but I'm sure I'll be okay. I think I'll be drugged up most of the day, so if someone stumbles into #sinister at some point and starts rambling about nothing, it's just me and you should ignore it. It seems that when I have a bad morning, the rest of the day gets really good (and vice versa). I woke up late this morning, didn't have time to go home, ripped a contact, and when I got out of my car at the office, I stepped in a big pile of dog poo. Somebody on the list mentioned a long time ago about Neon Genesis Evangelion. I decided it was worth checking out (especially since my dad's girlfriend has all of them), so I borrowed them and have been getting addicted. While I'm not normally into anime, this is an exception. I recommend it heartily. Speaking of heartily, why are Ramen Noodles so cheap? Seven for a dollar is incredible! They must be incredibly bad for one's health though. I've tasted marmite once, and it was pretty bad. About as bad as Ribena and Red Bull in my opinion (although Red Bull is the best of the three). Sorry Ken. Doesn't it seem very hazardous to one's health to mix a lot of caffiene and vodka (a depressant)? That's just my opinion. I see Red Bull everywhere now though. I think I saw it in that movie "Legally Blonde" last weekend, but I can't be sure. Sinister: Peanut Butter Battle

Peanut butter is non dairy (smack your ex for being a dolt, archel). While Peanut butter toast does not need butter to be peanut butter toast, it does need it to complete the taste experience. Butter makes everything better. Marmite always fails to satisfy...spoken like a man whose never been near marmite. But I have been near marmots and mites. There are two marmots living under my parents shed, their names are dead and dead Jr. (as soon as my mother gets them in her sights). And no crying from you animals rights people, it's them or us. They've eaten everything in the garden this year. All of the squash, beans, and peppers, and the biggest crime, all of the strawberries! My contact with mites was when I was cleaning behind a bookshelf years ago. I swung my hand around a bit collecting dust then pulled it out and saw a million tiny black things crawling from the rag to my elbow. I screamed like a little girl and ran to the bathroom to washed them away. Stepped on a nest of ticks once too, a very similar adventure but the other players were a stranger's swimming pool and baby blood suckers. On the subject of Perspex Basses; never saw Thin Lizzy with one, but the bass player from Inxs used one. I know a shop that has one for sale if anyone is interested. We just topped 1500 members. After several weeks of this we all got a little tired of it and took the first three letters of our surnames and added 'Do' to the end. This annoyed him no small amount and as a bonus, I ended up with the name Sha-do. Cool eh? Aaanyway... it's been a busy few weeks on the list, to say the least! You buggers just don't stop writing. I've finally caught up though, after digesting a digest or eight for a few days solid - work really does sometimes have its advantages. For me, there's been R!A!H! which you all know about - I too managed to get in, with five friends, without even taking the tickets out of my inside pocket. Was very tempted to pop out again and flog them to the touts outside, to help fund the next round of extortionate drinks, but then was overcome by pangs of guilt - perhaps I have some vestiges of moral fibre after all... Then Ipswich!, which rocked. As Stu mentioned, Sarah chose 'Don't stop me now' by Queen on Beat Patrol (B&S do Desert Island Discs) a few years back. It was particularly appropriate that it was Sarah who started the song off - she was loving it loving it loving it, as were we. And Murdoch's outfit! Wow. Chris Jones mentioned that he saw some nut-cases dancing like soul boys (more like headless chickens) in the circle. Hmmm, nothing to do with me guv. Honest. It wasn't us! We then went clubbing in Ipswich, to the one club not adorned by a large brawl in the street outside. Were almost turned away by the bouncers after they spotted that Terry had somehow forgotten to replace the binoculars from his theatre seat - naughty boy! The club was grim, but did have a fountain and palm trees. I'm not sure there were (m)any others from the gig there - I also think we succeeded in irritating the local clubbers by, um, taking the piss a bit with the old dancing lark. They wouldn't play us any Lambchop. Then to the campsite, after dropping off our new friend Marianna (hi!) at her hotel. I was three hours late for work the next morning. Oops. They had chickens at the campsite. Sinister: Don't believe the hype

Hi, I've been a bit busy during the latest days it seems, musically anyway! Came home from London and the wonderful B & S concert a few days ago and yesterday there was this pretty cool music festival in Stockholm, Sweden called Accelerator. Bands playing includes the Moldy Peaches, the Strokes, Arab Strap, Katryn Williams, the Magnetic Fields, Black Heart Procession. My personal favourite was the Magnetic Fields. They were really great. Even though Stephen Merrit didn't seem to be on such a good mood. The played for about one hour and a half and most of the songs were from the "69 Love songs" album. They were really strong live. The songs were performed with so much feeling. So what do you think about the Strokes. Apparently they are the next big thing. I mean, sure they're great and all and pretty cool but I don't know. They seem to be a bit too cool and a bit too much we're-from-New-York-and-we-don't-care. A bit too much hype if you will. But what do I know... By the way, sorry for this but if there is anyone who knows anything about an available apartment in Stockholm starting this autumn I would be more than greatful if that person would contact me in private. I'm starting school at the University of Stockholm this autumn and currently have no idea where I should stay.
