hi hi, At last a B&S dream! Last weekend I went to the Coney Island aquarium, last stop on the subway, and among other beautiful creatures (such as penguins--so graceful! uh.... so majestic!), there was a walrus which stuck its head out of the water, looked me in the eye, and whistled a long low note. I started cheering and she kept going, her big bulldog face concentrated on holding the note. This was not the dream, this actually happened, but then it was all recycled--i dreamt i'd gone to glasgow with my scottish friend to make a movie, and the whole time i had this desperate feeling that i had to go to a b&s concert before i missed it, and then i was told they weren't in town, and i thought the world would end, so my friend gave me an extra copy of "3...6...9 seconds" and there was a girl inside wandering across the lyric sheet----somewhere on all that white space between the words---,i went in----i don't remember her name or what she looked like, all i remember is that the whole scottish countryside disappeared and became white, we were somewhere on the words, kisses so deep they made me want to cry------then as i started to wake up and i remembered i was in new york, i thought it was snowing outside my window, piles and piles of snow on the restaurant garden outside my window, and on the trash heap next to that, and snow all over the fire escapes of new york, and snow on the walrus tank at coney island------------and then i realized that i was still dreaming, and i woke up and looked out the window for real and it wasn't snowing at all. i was disappointed, but it was okay, because i've been walking around all day in a sweet fog. Meanwhile, i ran into a lass i went iceskating with back in october, she'd dissed me big time before we got to know each other at all; i was somewhat hurt, and now months later i run into her and she tells me the reason she ran away from me is because she liked me too much. ?!?!?!?!?!?!/%*%*?!!! am i supposed to believe this shit? (can we take a vote on this?) as a way of proving she wasn't lying, and to show how much her head is scxrewed on backwards, she told me she slept with her stalker. that's right, folks: a guy had been following her for weeks, obsessive and horrible... and she ends up sleeping with him. "i could sleep with him because i hated him," she told me. "you scare me because i like you." i guess it's a good thing i never did more than kiss her..... why are people so fucked up? o god, get me back to that lyric-sheet dream..... snowy walruses (walri?) ari ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . Dear lovely lovely people, first off: Thankyou thank you oh thankyou oh how can I ever thank you enough Matthew!! Yes...I went acorss the river and I am now listening to Tigermilk!! Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..ok forgive me,but you must remember this like this whole big TREASURE for me and I feel like I'm going back in time,I only listened to a bit of the demos...I want to just take in all of Tigermilk first...i'm so excited it's silly! I was dancing all round my room to You're Just A Baby oh I adore Stuart Murdoch!!! I went acorss the river sticking my head out of Big Blue Louie's window (the truck) singing Lazy Line Painter Jane...and then returning listeing to beautiful Expectations but it was new territory cos i didn't already know the words...see new treasure!!! NEw treasure!!The guitar is more harp like in that version of state i am in,yes? Jabbed with fork? Were B&S beat up in school? SPeaking of school ALSO in the mail the school sent a letter to my father giving me demerit points... 'behaviour problem' I don't have an attitude problem!Because i'm so-called 'late' and don't do my homework and use un-called for language..BAHHH! I jsut hate that teacher...and she can't do anything an no-one can complain cos I went from a 55% in math to an 83%...oh joy joy joyjoyjoy!! ok..gotta focus..Sarah..ummm *blushes* that ym like quiz is my own...i didn't inculde it all cos it's quite stupid isn't it? See Physical Science is so boring and i don't wnat to pay attention and i don't need to and so i make little presents for my friends instead during that class...drawing pictures of pop stars..making them quiz to do...liven up their bore experience! Risso:You are a dollface!Why would someone call you a bastard?No! I love those books....well I don't know exactly what the ending is,i suppose the author wants the element of mystery that started off the whole thing,but this is my personal opinion: Sabine is more like an angelic being,but that angel needed somebody...and Griffin belonged to her and she belonged to Griffin...you notice in the last postcard it is signed 'Sabine M Strohem' She is keeping her maiden name but I believe that M stands for Moss...Griffins last name,and they are married...an angelic couple finally together and now they are helping others...(you'll notice when she wrote she used the plural 'we think' instead of 'I') but I could be completely off you know? I guess it's whatever opinion! OK..oh I could be dreaming!!! Focus..focus...I have a point and i wanna get down...see I can't get the offical site on this computer and I lost the address to send to...cos I have the money for my t-shirt! (oh boy is the canadian dollar low compared ot pound!)I was gonna send that in the mail with that pence,but then i think the coin would weigh it down or soemthing so i have a master plan to give the money to my mother and she'll write me out the cheque..and that's all I gotta do right? Sooo..I need 1,who to make the cheque out to and 2,address where to actually send it! Thankyou!! oh scottish accents are so lovely...and it's 8:00 and it's still light out! Wow! There was this beginning to one demo and it made me laugh and i had ot rewind..it wasn;t even funny i was just 'ohmigod,Stuarts voice is os clear,it's like they here' And is it just Stevie who sings witht he deep voice? A beautiful sunny day and I've got no homework!! Well..I have to work on ym claymation Belle n Sebby project but that's fun...I've finished Belle,she turned out differently..I thought she would be a sort of gentle angelic small girl but instead she has bright yellow flares big blue platforms and a purple crop top big eyes and swingy hair...she's more of a hipster! Now I'm working on Sebastian,I am worried about soemthing..I didn't think ot put wire in the figures,cos it makes them move better and now Belle...well..her arms falls off!I am trying to think if I should expand the idea..when Belle and Sebastian finally meet in their embrace,should I leave it at that...? I don't know,so much so much.. oh and Whoever recommened Griffin and Sabine books...THANK YOU DOLLFACE! What kind of wallpaper does each member buy?', accompanied by a little picture of each band member in front of a piece of wall just waiting to be papered...>> W O W . I've never heard of this sort of coloring book, but it sounds neat - - and the idea C. (?) came up with is just !!!! I've fallen in love with it! Even better is (since the group doesn't like to be photographed (a sad notion to an aspiring photographer) is to have one design the wallpaper, actually print up the design on a huge strip of paper and wallpaper each corresponding member to a strech of wall. Seeing how this fanciful idea is unlikely to occur, I just thought I'd send it anyway, just to induct myself into the group ... if I may. okay, this has nothing to do with b&s or much else that's been mentioned recently, but i'm trying to avoid essay writing so... did anyone see TMWRNJ ("TMWRNJ!!!" repeat until not funny) today. The fake Rod Hull from Fist of Fun was on!!! Yay! "Jelly!" Omigod, thats another tv show i forgot about, The Pink Windmill! Sorry, i said i'd stop and i will. NOW. was v. good though...(hee hee) I love Lee & Herring, they're fancy. Stuart Lee ran away from my dad at edinburgh festival one year cos he was scared of him...but my dad didn't know who he was, anyway. i visited everyones websites last night...i think jong & bethey's is sooo cool. "funky with a y", as they say...and sarah has manics bits! hooray. and a lovely piccy. couldn't be bothered going any further than the opening page of rod's. no real reason, just wanted to go back to jon's one i think. so can't say anything about that. i think everyone should go out and buy pulp's new album because it is sooooo good. v sexy, some of it. and cheered me up last night especially when singing along at the top off my voice cos no one was there to hear so i had no fear. i went off jarv for a while cos i thought he seemed a bit up himself after he got all famous an' all...but i'm back 'on' him now, so to speak as the new stuff is ace. i went off the last album for a bit, 'specially as people kept singing bits out of 'Disco 2000' at me. v annoying. hate that stupid song now :-) not my fault my name is deborah and my house happens to be very small with woodchip on the wall...i blame the parents, meself. okay, i think that's about enough crap from me just now, save for 2 (rubbish) jokes; Q: What do you call a Star Wars character you can keep around the house? I like the idea of a colouring contest. I was always really good at staying in the lines. Actually I won a colouring contest when i was in 4th grade. I believe the prize was a gift certificate of some sort. hehehe...geneveives bit of quiz made me laugh..., obviously if the answers were translated into bands, you would have these answers; a) spice girls (or maybe bis...) b) suede c) (well this has already been done) B&S d) manic street preachers gawd, i'm bored... this would leave me with big problems as i am completely in love with the last 3 bands. oh dear. it was quite scary and lonely being in the house on my own last night with the rain battering off the windows and just me and my cat (who was going mad) there. why did all my friends have to go on holiday/ live too far away? wish i could drive... ah, well...ooh, just remembered one of my favourite ctv programmes (don't get mad anyone for me mentioning these again...); Wacky Races! With Penelope Pitstop and Dick Dasterdly & Mutley (hehehe; sorry, can't do his laugh very well). That was such a cool cartoon...oh, and that one with the evil tv in the forest(?)...and the magic roundabout!!!!! Sorry, getting carried away...but is it true john clease is making a film version of Mr Benn? Just wondered. King Rolo was good too. Sorry. Again. I'll stop now. Promise. this is a happy song that i know = precision auto by superchunk... the version that is on incidental music though because it has the part that goes oooooooooooo... and my friend laura and i always sing it in the car and laugh at how silly we sound when we say 'ooo ooo donot pass me ooo ooo just to slow down!' i also like to sing emo songs in the car because they are generally bands with endearingly bad/offkey boy singers and its fun to sing loud and offkey with them and in the car noone else will make fun of you except your friends if they donot like to listen to emo... but it is your car so there is nothing they can do... other car songs are = nous ne sommes pas des anges by heavenly dancing mood by slipstream together forever in love and im still crying by go sailor the whole album trompe le monde by the pixies and anything with bjork singing because i at least can only do those yowls and yelps in the loud car volume and its more fun like that anyway... also mix tapes are better for cars than albums perse... thats what i think! im a free wheeling bachelorette once again! happy dreams sinisterians... yours allison ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
