I'm new to the list, so I'm not sure if this has been talked about before. If it has, my sincerest apologies. (Have to put this disclaimer in as my last e-mail was about whether or not B&S reminded anyone of bands on the now defunct Sarah Records. Oops. :) I think a cool way to cut into the bootlegging (and keep distribution costs to a minimum) is to set up an internet site selling the songs in MP3 format. The Beastie Boys are starting to do this, and I think we'll see more and more bands doing this. Wouldn't it be cool if you could order and download Tigermilk over the internet instead of having to pay for a bootleg knowing that none of the royalties go to the artist? I wonder if B&S would go for that. My $.02.
