What is it like to have a Belle and Sebastian dream ?
Yours insomniacally (???)
Marvellous. I recently had one about the Great Judy and the Dream of Horses Mug Heist in a secluded Manchester car park. I can't remember much about it though. The robbers were robbing and there was nothing anybody could do about it because it was a dream. David was there in his pink velour hat and Keith was banging on the window in his new Pastels turtleneck. Paul, I demand that Duke be given carte blanche to talk shite as well. Where have I heard the name Gerard Cosloy before? I'm going to have a look at Andy Dean's photo in a minute. Then I will know what three people look like, Paul Choo Choo Mitchell, Stephen Pantaloons and Andy. That Guardian article was most entertaining. One question: since when was Gregg's a cosmopolitan eaterie? One of these days I will get round to hearing some of the bands in question. Anyone interested in the Lanarkshire no-man's land mentioned in the article should look out for a repeat of "The Football Men", a documentary about Frankly Bill Shankly, Matt Busby and Jock Stein. I thought it was going to be a boring load of old bollocks, but it turned out to be really good, quite moving in fact. Even if you don't like football. It might have been the Ayrshire no-man's land, I'm not sure, but it's the same difference anyway. It features William McIllvanney (sp?) who can often be spied in the self same cosmopolitan eateries favoured by our own Belle and Sebastian. He looks like a policeman. Would someone be kind enough to describe Future Pilot? They seem to be so widely disliked that I'm quite curious now. Peter ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
