For those who were asking about Morrissey living on the King's Road: According to The Severed Alliance, Morrissey was brought home from hospital to a house at 17 Harper Street, Hulme. Then in 1965 the family moved to Queen's Square, Moss Side (no number given). After the Queen's Square house was demolished in 1969 by the council, the Morrisseys moved to 384 Kings Road, Stretford. An article in the Guardian last year claimed that he now divides his time between "a hotel room in Los Angeles and his mother's house in Manchester". There really should be a blue plaque or something on the Kings Road house, definitely! It's amazing how little stuff there is in Manchester about bands that have come from there, especially compared with all the Beatles crap in Liverpool. I guess that's a good thing, though...
