"If fashion is your trade, then when you're naked, I guess you must be unemployed" - my favourite lyric in the entire Pulp canon, and this is true for a guy I know (know about?) who married a model. (Names omitted for reasons of infamy). I don't really want to comment on the Underwear debate without reading some more on what others have contributed. (I erase my stuff because we have limited H:spaces here at LSE and there might be some urgent communication from the Government Dept.) But I guess I'm not fussy, though from time to time I find new boxes of black knickers in my drawers courtesy of my mother and she brought me back some silk ones from Beijing two and a half years ago. Boring, just like Economics homework. As for the above reference to a lyric and its associations, are there any (B&S or otherwise) that anyone else find relevant. I've posted my thoughts on "Me and the Major" and "If You're Feeling Sinister" but "Lazy Line Painter Jane" reminds me of a liaison I had at 12.40am on the northbound northern line platform at Euston ("You will have a boy tonight, on the last bus out of town..." well, train, but never mind).
