So a Sinister picnic finally comes together in NYC. My sweetie and I wait weeks for its blessed event, not to mention the Shelflife show the night before. Half an hour before I'm supposed to go to Brooklyn, I somehow manage to throw my back out. Thus, instead of seeing the pop show and meeting Sinister listmembers in the East River Park, I spent the entire weekend propped up in bed with a heating pad, sullenly looking out the window at what appeared to be a spectacular East Coast early-autumn weekend. Of course my back healed in time for me to be back at work on Monday. So, um, how'd it go? Did lots of people show up? Was it a properly gentle yet exciting experience?
