Following from Stuart Murdoch, presumably vitally important for one of songs from the new LP... another "go lardy or go lame" song then. Here's a vote for an entirely food-based Belle and Sebastian LP. Can I also ask for an explanation over booths/cubicles/kiosks? I've always wondered what the difference is. Important stuff. A booth (sometimes called a nudie booth) is a small room where people pay to go and see rude ladies dancing A cubicle is where you get changed to go swimming, unless it is an open-plan changing room, such as the ones we have been discussing lately in the Big Tackle / Catfish thread. They are round, and are referred to on the packet as "biscuits". The launch of Hob Nobs was the most succesful ever product launch in the long history of United Biscuits. Sir Hector Laing was able to retire a relatively happy man. Later, McVitie's decided to try and capitalise on the success of Hob Nob biscuits by introducing a new version. Individually wrapped, it was oblong in shape and had a bit of fondant icing in the middle. The tasty wheatiness was retained, but the fondant icing "jazzed it up" a bit too much for the tastes of many pensioners, myself included. They were directed towards the tight-fisted mum market, destined to end up in many a child's lunch box instead of a nice Twix. I'm referring, of course, to the Hob Nob BAR. But it's still a biscuit. As a rough guideline, I would suggest that a bar must be shaped like a gold bar (I watched Goldfinger last night), come in a gaily coloured wrapper, and be bathed in luxurious chocolate. All of which is untrue for biscuits, as any gingermen of your aquaintance will gladly testify. But... Those things you buy in health food circumstances, usually consisting of squirrel innards and bumble bee pooh, are called "bars", yet they are usually chocolate free, which only adds to their disgustingness. Ship's biscuits often contain weavils. The rest, as they say, is predictable. The most famous person in the world is boxing promotor Don King. Sinister: Evil P.E. Teachers and stuff

Hello everybody. I'm feeling terrible today, I've got a sore throat, eyes and neck. It might even be glandular fever, oh joy. I had a P.E. teacher at school whose nickname was piggy, he was an evil little man, who loved to pick on the younger kids. He would only allow us to wear shorts to gym and if he saw your pants poking out he would shout, "Get those pantaloons off boy!" in a very scary manner, much like john anderson from gladiators who just happened to be a friend of his, apparently. Another thing he would do was check that you were having a shower by coming in to watch, which led to some interesting grafitti in the changing room, mostly regarding his sexuality/penchant for small boys. Eventually he was replaced by a guy who went to school with will carling (english rugby captain), who was pretty sound. sorry if that was boring, but I tend to talk a load of shite. colin. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . we have carrels in our university library - wher i be sit at this very moment. "study carrels" to give them their proper name, which sounds a lot grander than what they really are which is a bit of wood with some other bits of wood round it to hide whatever you're doing. and inspire bad graffiti. there are hushed, awe strucken tones given for the special carrels for postgraduate studnts - ie students who actually want to work - which are dark nooks and crannies with glass doors. all rather scarey. believe it or not, as part of my unbelievably dull library studies course we actually have to STUDY optimum use of desk, carrel and shelf space in a library. and people wonder why i hate my course so.... nothing interesting, as ever chris ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . First of all they had us all singing "If you want a lot of choclate on your biscuit, join our club" Just as punk was beginning to take off, they changed it to: "Bar, bar, bar, bar bar of club Bar, bar, bar, bar bar of club" and so on, leaving a generation of chocolate coated snack lovers in a terrible quandry as to what constitutes a bar, and what constitutes a biscuit. I gots two: first is a gym teacher from high school i never personally had, but everyone knew well. He would walk around with sweats and a huge boner and hang around with the prettiest and sluttiest girls at school. Once he pissed off this guy by hitting on his girlfriend, and the guy ran into is shins with his car in the parking lot. Second was a tremendously obese gym teacher I also never had in junior high school. She would sit on a chair and berate students to run faster when we had to run around the field.
