Sorry Keith but I disagree, I for one would rather find out what is on each tape as it arrives in the post and not before. I'm a bit confused as to what you mean by "tracks you put on each others tapes". Everyone records their own tape, and once it's done other people don't record over it or anything, it just gets sent round the tape tree as is. And yes, the shit early stuff is always better. It's ambient stuff... yeah, it's on warp here in the uk, an lp called 'music has the right to children' (about 18 tracks, is that the one you have?) and at it's best (that one track with 'pete' in the title) it does a passable autechre copy. yeah, is nice. actually, last time i heard it was whilst doing the washing up whilst visiting a friend in Los Angeles, it was one of the four tapes i took over to keep me occupied on the trip, the others being the delgados and adventures in stereo lps. and something else. um, yeah, boards played a track for peel recently, played live into the station from the place where they record sessions so i guess a peel session is coming shortly. there's also another track on the warp 100 compilation cd out recently. and that's about it, they just seemed to appear from out of the scottish mist a couple of months ago. and apparently they live somewhere really remote in scotland. andy x == andrew dean (koogydelbbog(a)yahoo.com) _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? Are we supposed to wait for some "Away you go!" like Ron Pickering used to say before we mail out these tapes to people (not that I've actually recorded the fucker yet). Also, it'd be quite a nice idea I think to post to the list with what tracks you put on each others tapes, so's that not only can other people see what other people put on their tapes, but they get a chance to go "Oh no, you don't like them do you" and "Their shit early stuff was much better". Does anyone have any info on this Scottish band? Since everyone's always on about Scottish bands...I thought i'd join in...Tho you won't hear any "och The Pastels are crap" outa me though. No sir E bob. Pastel hating is for paste eaters. Paste eaters are Pastel beaters (and vice versa). I've never heard of this "Boards Of Canada" band before...I was sent the promo and it ain't half bad. It's ambient stuff...not great to work to...as it's putting me to sleep as we speak...but i'm quite fond of it. Any info would be loverly...i'm entranced.... I'm totally relaxed....under the spell....I hear and obey.... I am my pineapple. bethietubby. p.s. I'm going to see Miles Hunt tonight. I've not seen him in ages. Sinister: What should I put?

For the tape tree tape, I left off a lot of bands because I figured everyone would have them, like the Stone Roses, even though I'm dying to put them on it. Is this a good course of action?
