Super troopers, > anyway, poor erica, the most prettiest girl on sinister (officially) was > there, and she had injured one of her two heavenly legs by falling down >an escalator chasing tim baxendale I wasn't chasing, I was *racing*. With all the bleeding leg confusion, we never decided who won, but I obviously deserve a medal for not crying, and being a brave kid. I went to see Nursey today so she could have another little look at it, and she gave me an injection in the bottom under the pretences I havent had my leaving school "booster". Any excuse to see my bum. I'm being "affectionately" referred to as 'Peg Leg' by all and sundry, but everyone was impressed at how rock I am, and fetched me chocolate bars from the vending machine while I sat gushing about Tim Baxendale in the sixth form block today. Ah, fame in the playground, it never lasts long. Marcus, remember, vommitting on one's clothes is better than vommiting in someone else's shoes, as I have once been known to do during a binge of alcohol driven high spirits. Serves them right for wearing Rebok Classics. It was a good picnic, hey little ladies and lads I met. You know who you are, and you're all fabulous. Sinister: Plums

Couldn't think of anything to put in the subject box, but you know how sometimes you start thinking about a word so much it detaches itself from it's meaning and then just the sound of the word makes you laugh because it's a bit funny? I had that with plums yesterday. So, first of all, howdy to everybody I saw at the picnic (can only remember Erica and Geoff but please don't be offended if I can't remember your name, as I'm generally appalling at that sort of thing, but I do have detailed pictures in my memory of your faces and what type of spectacles you were wearing). Sorry I couldn't stay long but, as it was my sister who suggested we go for a picnic on Primrose Hill, I couldn't forgo Quality Time with her in order to sit around boozing, could I? Besides, she did me a massive favour by holding my hand and helping me through shyness. You probably guessed from the fact that she was wearing DKNY trainers that she is not much of a B&S fan. I did play her SOT&F but she said "The singer sounds like Kermit's little brother Robin". Ouch. Maybe I should have played something that sounds a bit jollier like String Bean Jean, but the damage is done now. Or maybe the damage was done when she bought Wham's greatest hits. In answer to Mr Watson's query, I have never worked at a certain sea-front club in Blackpool. I do go to Blackers regularly when I can find the time in my busy schedule, but I generally play clubs in seedy backstreets. USELESS TRIVIA CORNER Nice to see Soho's Hippy Chick got a mention - I still have a video of them performing it on Top of the Pops somewhere - they wore bright orange tent-dresses with bright blue neck-ties. Their drummer went on to join The Bluetones. I kid you not. RADIO It is my impression that there are a few ex-student radio types out there. It is also my impression that there is sod-all decent radio in London. Anyone fancy starting Sinister FM? afters, You never realise how beautiful Scotland is before you get stuck in the clouds up the big mountains do you? Could almost have felt stimulating stranded in such wilderness except for the presence of a buckfast fossil. We even got to see where James of the Glen was hanged - poor lad, no surname plus hung for a murder he didnt commit, and guess what - they left him hanging for nine years -poo. as bowlie approaches like the Tom jones comeback we need to join and help. In return for the completed list of folk going (mail me oh so quickly please), i would like info from people who know of the secret trail to camber from london - and what mystical machine can take us there. oo thank yoo. have to go and fetch my stranded mother from the airport - but i think i'll sneak off for a quick car wash first, yeeeha. Hello Everyone should have a look at the new t-shirts on the B+S band site, they're pretty bonkers. If anyone here is actually colourblind, that t-shirt with the dots on is great isn't it? James, my mum is suspicious of the Sinister list too. I suppose it's the name. Then again mum is scared of using email in case someone steals her identity. But how can you say "Well, actually it's named after Belle and Sebastian's second, and finest album, If You're Feeling Sinister" without sounding like some boring old spanner who needs to get out more and put more sugar in their tea? I would write more but, frankly, I'm a lazy bastard. Sinister: The Marvelous, Mechanical, Sinister List! and all who sail in her

Urgh...funny day today. Made even stranger by the fact the Archel now thinks I'm named after that time of the month. Hmmm. Various stuff I wanted to say - Rachel, how about "Puppet on a String"? "Hazy Shade of Winter" (not the most obvious, maybe, but it's a fantastic song and will no doubt be very easy to word-associate from. I like the idea, though - the whole compilation tape thing ties in with what Megan and Blake (I think) were saying about losing their love for music. I sometimes wonder if I'll ever get mine back. Miss Vicky gave me three CDs I bought in Glasgow 10 DAYS AGO which I'd left in her bag - she couldn't understand how I'd been able to not listen to them. I barely even remembered I'd bought them. And I got the Mogwai album from Amazon about 4 weeks ago, and I haven't even touched it yet. I'd rather listen to Kate Rusby at the moment. But then who wouldn't. For what it's worth, I read the NME. Occasionally. It's not really for me any more, but the crossword's fun. And now, something I started last week but ran out of inspiration to finish. I'm aware of the indiewanker aspect of this comment, but I couldn't let it lie... "Yerself is Steam" is Mercury Rev when they were GOOD! I promise, I've tried to get into their new stuff, I watched them at Bowlie all excited, only to be unbelievably disappointed by their standardised mid-tempo rock music. They played "Carwash Hair" as a fucking jaunty whistle-along that could have tripped off the lips of They Might Be Giants. What a letdown. I've just read the rest of my digest and seen that the boy Spoon beat me to it. Way to go Spoon. But then Erica went and gave beeg props to Kylie's "Confide in Me", which is THE record I look for every time I go to a new record shop, only to be cruelly disappointed each time. I've met her mum you know. Urgh again - I should do some work and salvage my self-respect. jaysus - ah!!!!!!!!!!!!! DIE JAMES THORNLEY I may have to give up the crown of list baby (or will I, seeing as I was on the list well before all of the brits shenanigans? you know, I found b&s, they didn't find me via newspaper reports or news segments, or magazine colums. I hope I'm not sounding dumb and arrogant.) oh well. some strange things happened last week. I was away on an outward bound week, and on the way back, we were meant to get the bus from fort william to glasgow, but there were too many people on the bus, so we had to get on the edinburugh bus, and get a connection at stirling. Any way, I sat at the back, and there were two girls there who had to sit up because they were using the back row as a bed thing. so I sat down, and my friend dougie asked me what was on my sterio. I said "terror twiglight by pavement, and on the other side of the tape, tigermilk by belle and sebastian." then one of the girls, said "I don't mean to be nosy, but do you like b&s", and I said "yes, they kick ass, but not violently." she said that she has a b&s obsession. her favourite song was fox in the snow. she lived in edinburugh, but went to boarding school in york. she was nice. It was weird because I had never met another b&s fan just out of the blue, just like that. I've only ever made people become fans. Sinister: Naughty B&S badge sighting...

Okay I haven't posted for a while but I hope everyone is having a lovely summer. I finally got to talk to a boy I've thought nicely of from afar last night, and the story is kinda funny I don't want to embarass him because through our conversation I discovered he was once Sinister...see, the theme of the party was "dress to get laid" party last night and this boy who I haven't seen in a while was wearing an ensemble that included black glasses, converse sneakers, a blue sweater etc. AND a belle and sebastian badge. He said it wasn't a "dress to get laid" outfit, he just wanted to wear a sweater. Sigh. Maybe I don't believe him anymore, as was mentioned yesterday, it was the little boy flipping off the viewer, which in the US at least implies "f*** you" which would be appropriate at such a party. I felt kinda silly. When he walked into the party I was playing twister in a iradescent pink vinyl dress with leopard print panties flashing every few seconds as I tried to stay in the game while people were losing items of clothing left and right. But we did talk for a while, that made me happy. I don't think anyone actually got laid at the party though. marcus your picnic experience seem as lovely as it should be to me.. wish i had the money and time to go to uk more often finally this becka girl have moved and the town is like a fairytale, small wooden houses amd friendly people. Not your average city feeling just calmness and hapiness among people here. I find it beautiful. And i have gained new pretty friends aswell(some to be listed on darlings at my page at the lowest part of those minipics of people..)
