Hmmh, maybe Foundation have bottled-out telling Camber Sands that they have just stopped 2000+ (well 1000+ maybe) paying 'guests' from staying at their lovely campsite with all of its exquisitely expensive facilities. I don't blame them if they havn't told em' yet, cos most of the flaq is going to come from the direction of Sussex (argh, scary thought!). I can almost see it now: a solitary lawsuit winging its disgruntled path right to Foundations already heavily burdened doorstep. Beautifully presented & perfectly bound (tied with a red ribbon no less), but with the stench of seaweed, the English channel (ie: human effulance) and the sweat of innocent people clinging doggedly to it like a tenacious piglet at its mothers teet. It lands with a dull thud which stills all the frenzied activity within. Silence dons its death mask and weilds its cotton-wool shrouded club. Fear grips the Foundation possee, as they ready themselves for flight or fight. Then the severity of the situation dawns on all and sundry, to the very last man woman and townie, they are not merely fighting the Camber Sands wide-boyz but the etheral shades of Rod Hull and his trusty flightless bird Emu as well. They know they don't stand a chance and the thoughts of victory settle with the angry specks of dust surrounding their beautiful present from the East. Err! And on that note I will flee into the night like, ...ergh..., like, someone chased by a be-wellied farmer after being caught impersonating a 'tenacious piglet' on his farm. Bugger it. Top timing i must say. i'd just arranged everything nicely for the weekend aswell. Looking on the bright side:- I now have a few £££'s to spend freely So whats the score then kids? I wanna be corrupted ! Claire, who painstakingly updated that list of reprobates, said: > paula and Scott can serve the booze Hmm, lunatics in charge of the assylum is a phrase that springs to mind :) I would suggest stuff myself, but you wouldn't be interested. Although if good old London is involved ive spotted a nice little footy match that i can go to involving Barnet and the Mighty Northampton Town. Having said that my previous attempts at making that fixture have resulted in being *stranded* in Camden Town's hostelries. Which is not a bad thing. A weekend of it would be nice too. Oh, and whilst (nearly) on the subject of football, props to Paul McAllister, a fellow 'cobbler' of this parish and also to the Shrewsbury fan (name escapes me...). Cant knock a team who plays at Gay Meadow now can you? The only problem now is how to tell my girlfriend that this "totally sold out event that i cant possibly get you a ticket for" is cancelled due to lack of ticket sales... I s'pose for her benefit it could still be on. Just no-one grass on me OK. At the risk of repeating myself: Bugger it. Ho hum Some people had been asking about things to do in London when you're dead pissed off with Foundation... I mentioned the other week that I had been organising a show at The Betsy Trotwood pub in Farringdon for the night before ATP, ie Sept 16, and this will still go ahead, with Dr Joe Brooker, The Clientele and Baxendale, sinister favourites all, performing for your pleasure. So if you're around, please come along. You'll also be able to get your mits on the new issue of the metrosexual jazzmag, Trousercuts. Email me privately if you need directions. I might try and cobble together something for the Friday night at The Poetry Cafe, if people are interested... Sinister: can i come over and shower?

goodmorning sinister boys and girls, how are you all doing?...ick i feel so utterly gross right now! since my house is in the middle of the woods, we dont have regular water, all of the houses water comes from a well in my backyard. well yesterday the well ran dry. and it ran dry before i showered yesterday. since it was a holiday nooone could come fix it, and now it is the next day and it is still broken and i have still not showered. ugh its so horrid, and i really need to clean my nipple rings, but with no water that is quite a difficult task...my younger sister started back to high school again today, which gave me immense pleasure in knowing i am a college student now, who can sleep late and only has classes 3 days a week! haha...hopefully my new contact lenses will come in today that i ordered, they are sapphire blue! theyll look good with my hair , that has been red for quite some time now..so, the list crush has been restarted. now my name is out of the suggestion box and into list!..steve c is quite a charmer, im sure all the girls are voting for him..the sinister girl whom i fancy, is courtney b. i do love getting mail from the little darling, if any girl should get votes it should be her..alright im going back to bed, i awoke with the hopes that there would somehow be water, but alas, there isnt. ill talk to you soon my sininster sweethearts. xoxo, lauren +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the reborn Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister(a)majordomo.net". Sinister: Another Tragic Parody

Yes, a meetup in London sounds like a good idea. We should turn it into a Bowlie theme party: (1) Anyone who has a garden shed, a pink frilly lampshade and a sofa you can only sit the wrong way round on can recreate the chaletesque experience. (2) Venue: Doesn't matter as long as it serves Beamish Black. (3) Bands: Each member of Sinister has to come dressed as a member of Belle and Sebastian, and can mime to recordings of past gigs. (4) Anyone who wants to do (3) can do this in Camber Sands. Preferably 400 yards off shore. (5) Surprise appearance by Zigue Zigue Sputnik (who have now reformed and quote their influences as Mogwai, Extreme Noise Terror and Val Doonican) Seriously though, I am disappointed. I was looking forward to suffering a hangover in a draughty chalet, then trampling through the mud to Funky Monkey's Fun Zone. These are the things that make you feel truly alive. That and the scowl I got from the woman in the newsagents when I complained that you couldn't get a single broadsheet newspaper in East Sussex. It would have been nice to put faces to names of some of the people on the list. So can somebody who actually knows a decent venue pipe up please? thankyounicepeople, Spanners. PS. Does anyone know when "Why Did You Let My Kitten Die" comes out? I've got got a plane ticket, but I've got the days booked off work, so I imagine I'll be going down to London anyway. How about a minature version of ATP in a pub/club somewhere, like Claire suggested. All weekend - we've all got 100 quid that we didn't know we had, after all, that should buy quite a few extra drinks. There must be some decent bands on over that weekend too.
