Here's a charming addition:
Bump, bump, bump goes the head of a bear,
A little boy stands at the head of the stair;
There's blood on the carpet and fur on the mat:
Christopher Robin's axe-murdered the cat.
ByeBye,

Yes, which reminds me of foreigners on holidays in Sweden ... everyone in

Having said that, you may also want to visit the I.P.U. Club at Sjo:gra:s in
Stockholm a few days before that on April, 8 (Wednesday) when the turntables

I saw Acetone in 1993 in the Cathouse in Glasgow with Oasis and Verve. I
must admit, Belle and Sebastian are probably the futhest thing from my mind
in memories of them. They weren't very good at all, and were kind of like a
prog band with jazz influences at the time, I'm sure they could have changed
a lot in that time, but they were abysmal then. I might even go far enough
to say that Oasis were better than them, but I don't really think they were.
They were rubbish too. Verve were good however, my second favouriite support
slot on that night goes to the DJ guy who played not only David Bowie's
"Speed of life" but also played the fantastic space-moog tune that features
in the party scene in Rollerball.
Cheers,
Keith.

Happy Times ?
Nice to see a Digest void of abuse and full of inky polaroids.
My own effort ?.
This one is of Kate and myself. You cannot see the top of my head because I am six foot four and because the person who took this particular shot obviously realised that Kate was a bit more pleasing to the eye than myself. You haven't missed much though...I need a haircut.
The photo makes Kate look about two feet shorter than me. In fact she's not far short of six foot herself. I usually sit on that side of the settee and I've kind of broken it which is why Kate has sunk somewhat.
We are all smiles, not because we are both particularly happy but because we have just made light work of two bottles of champagne that we won in a Round Table quiz last night at the rugby club. If you look carefully to Kates left you can just see the remains of the second bottle on the arm of the settee. There's just a little more than a glass left there...mmmmmmm that's mine.
The keener-eyed amongst you might have noticed the reflection in the cabinet window behind us. Through the brilliant glare of the flash you can just make out the silhouette of Jane taking the photo. Jane is Kates housemate. She's very lazy but I am unaware that she paints lines at all.
Adrian.

Good morning,
I have only gone and invented a Belle and Sebastian word game! Simply
take the letters of the alphabet extend them to Belle and Sebastian list
style words. Then extend these words into rhyming couplet style lines.
Got it? Here's my rather pitiful effort. As you can tell I really
struggled with some of it, but please remember I'm only a child. I
trust everyone will now make a special alphabet of their own.
A is for andrew dean, a big fan
of
B - Belle and sebastian the band
C is the cello that Isobel plays
D is for Stuart D - possible gay?
E is the email through which we exist
F is "for f***s sake": Keith when he's pished
G is for Geddes, a very shy lad
H is for Honey's rather large nads
I is for Isobel Campbell, a girl
who loves
J - jesus. Who's evil clone kills.
K for Katrina, and her pal the waves
L is for looper, a possible gay
M is for Murdoch - your hero and mine
N is for northy, I love that wee swine
O is the oo in oo la la las
P is the P!O!P! life which everyone has
Q Is for Queen doing "Don't Stop me now"
Rip me up Richard, I'm sure you know how
S is for Sarah, who is a wee doll
Tigermilk prices shall rise and not fall
U is the underground found at Hillhead
V is the vixen found in Honey's bed
W is we, cos we rule the pop school
X is for x-rated swearies - not cool
Y are the yeh-yeh girls whose records tag gets
Z is for Zardoz (?), That's my alphabet!
Hmm. OK, I'm sure you all can do better.
Let It Rock,
Christine

No - Katrina send a lovely message to tell me about it, but it is just so
complicated with all the BBC involved and that, it's all just too scary for
little jong to handle.

ah, the ink polaroid spirit has filled me, and just won't go away. so here
we go again:
* I'm in washington square park, in the foreground, the girl with purple
flipflops, flares, and silly sunglasses. I'm reading my psychology book
and for the most part i'm paying alot of attention. but sometimes i get
distracted by feeling the breeze ruffle past and look around at my fellow
layabouts. On my headphones, I'm listening to "the lonliness of a middle
distance runner," that's why i look frozen. Around me are a great many
people, lying on the grass. in front of me, a woman is drawing a picture
of us. shes trying to be subtle, but it isn't working too well. if you
look in the right corner, you can just see the arch.
i don't think i have anything else to write about really, oh, except the
ever elusive picnic idea. how about next weekend? if it's anything like
this one, a saturday afternoon in central park sounds very nice. but does
anyone know what the weather is supposed to be like? we should probably
know that first.

Hi!
It's Lesley, the badge-spotter again. You're right i should have said
something to that guy with the B+S badge. I've only seen someone wearing it
twice, the first was a girl at my friend's band's show at a video/record store
last month. She had this great red hair and a 40's style (i think) vintage
dress on, the badge was on her jacket. She was sitting on the floor, and we
were all very quiet, squished in this small space between the rental videos
and the counter. Every few minutes during the show someone would traipse
across the crowd to return a movie!
Anyway, the new Pastels CD Illumination is my current favorite, but I'd go
with '"Truckful"
take care,
Lesley
the mair ye greet, the less ye have t'pee.
