As I feel partly responsible for starting this thread I will add my own experience of school days misery. The head of the PE department was called Mr Jolly [honestly!] who was jolly by name but certainly not by nature. He demonstrated to the class how to throw a basketball by throwing it at me. Unfortunately he threw it without warning and it hit me in the face. Another highlight was stopping our group in the middle of a bitterly cold cross country run for a bit of long jumping over the river. After the first few fell in [including myself, I am no star of track and field] he sent Bradley Miller up to jump over next. Brad didn't quite make it, falling in the river and breaking his ankle on a submerged rock in the process. Jolly had to carry him on his back all the way back to school taking several stops to get his breath back on the way to do it. hey hey, before you delete this I DO have some B&S content! But first of all....somebody wanted a manics debate...ooh, on the list....its not belle and sebby.....email me personally if you want a debate, but i'll be a good Sinisterette and not yap on about wether they;ve sold out or not here. for once. perhaps i'll talk about Dubstar. Sorry, am hungover and cynical. last night really wasn't worth it. got reallyDepressed Drunk, instead of HappyDrunk. arse, it got to a point where i was leaving the room else i would just break down....and i missed Eastenders for that! hey hey! jeepster, your mailer is even more fucked than mine, which is kinda saying summat seeing as my mailer seems to be delivering mail to whoever it wants these days..... I just don't listen to radio (unless I'm in one of my classical or jazz moods.)But I've been a bit more lucky and have played IYFS out at this bar I frequent a couple of times only to find some people nodding their head to it and looking like they enjoy it. I've even had several people ask who it was playing and they wrote down the name. Good luck spreading the word wherever you are because if some people respond to it in the state of Tennessee, then chances are there will be more other places who do as well, if not more so! Sinister: an apology to the people whom i told i would make tapes for

hmm bad grammar i ended that with a preposition... at any rate i would like to sincerely apologise to the people i promised to send tapes to right away... you see the thing is that i am an art student and my big show for senior seminar is next week = it opens on monday to be precise my grade for the class is based mainly on this show and its a project that i have been working on for 8 months and so i am a bit nervous and scrambling around trying to finish it and prep the gallery etc... so i have been far too lax in this taping business... but i _promise_ that as soon as my show is up i will be sending tapes out like mad and everything will be sent by the 1st of march... i really truly do promise this... i am really quite sorry i am not usually this flaky about things... hullo to other list people who are reading this and have no idea what i am speaking of... it was beautiful here today in los angeles and i went skipping about... and then i went swing dancing at night... i am not sure if this is a popular activity in other countries but for some reason its taking the us by storm especially the coastal cities... so i am sitting here a slightly flushed from dancing american girl who spent the evening running from the lecherous advances of a spurious boy with a ponytail who will constantly tell me 'no allison youre doing that _wrong_' when really i can do it quite right with any otehr partner and wondering what people tihnk of that and trying to scheme a way to the uk this summer as well... hoorah! i apologise also because this really is quite unrelated to belle and sebastian things... its just about me... love and kisses allison ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
